The warm. clear light of a late November afternoon created some attractive light and shadow across this Leicestershire / Rutland landscape. A beautiful part of England, I love the rural, rolling nature of the low hills and valleys - perfect for winding away a few hours just enjoying whatever is around the next corner.
I tried to make the most of the colour contrast a typical late November afternoon can produce - the clouds in particular picked up a nice range of cool blues and purples, which contrasted nicely with the warm tones of the sunlight spilling across the empty fields.
A 3 shot HDR RAW image finished in Lightroom.
One of three species that again, can only be identified definitively by examining the genitals. However, the others (E. christyi and E. autumnata), are said to favour more wooded habitats and, since this one was in my garden, I have gone with E. dilutata which also appears to be the most common of the three.

The old train bridge in black &white, The colours have gone, and there is a bit of fog from the water.
With just a blink, there's a blanket of white on the ground.
