Thankful for the light that shines through on gloomy days and through gloomy events. Sometimes this light can mean different things or it can even mean certain people. But they all have in common that they give us hope.

I was clearing off the coffee table to set up a still life shot but Tigs had a different idea and decided he would model instead.

November, its that time of the month again for the shot of the tree. I took a few different shots from different angles of the tree this morning, so i wasn't sure which one i liked the best. It was a morning full of mist through the Eden Valley.
...sounds like a song title ;o)
I'm really quite pleased with how this came out, it's so difficult in woods to KISS, (keep it simple stupid!), and there were such distractions with the dappled light, making separation of the leaves from the background quite a challenge.. (I should have separated the lowest leaves from the stump too, but it was one of those occasions requiring the stepladders!)
One of the hardest shots of the holiday to get right.
First time I've put the Lr5 "Clarity" slider to the left too, (only -5), I like the slight soft focus "glow" effect it gives.

Something on a little bit of a lighter vein after all the memorial stones (got some more of them later, its a new set).
Beleive it or not these are in my garden now, never seen them flower so late in the year before.
As a surprise, my husband signed me up for one month of Flickr Pro. I discovered that my photo stream has had 6.6 million views as of today. My reaction is that of shock and humility, I feel a bit overexposed and not deserving of those numbers. Perhaps not knowing would have been better, I like being part of a small group where day by day we interact, it feels comfortable and more intimate.
