No shade, no shine, no butterflies, no bees,
No fruits, no flowers, no leaves, no birds! –
November! - poem by Thomas Hood
So we're speeding towards that time of year,
to the day that marks that you're not here;
And I think I'll want to be alone,
so please understand if I don't answer the phone;
I'll just sit and stare at my deep blue walls,
until I can see nothing at all;
Only particles, some fast, some slow,
all my eyes can see is all I know;
But I'm about to give this one more shot,
And find it in myself, I'll find it in myself.

It seems like yesterday, but this shot is part of a series of shots taken in November, which you can find in the album created. The day was incredibly beautiful and I took a lot of photos, so, every now and then I find one that I like to share ....

As I predicted: autumn gold is out, chilly blues are on their way. Say hello to a cool but rainy season!

Side by side, two trees defy the gray sky and the approaching winter. Their last yellow leaves tell of autumn slowly coming to an end. The quiet landscape, dotted with a row of distant trees, invites you to pause for a moment. A moment captured on a typical November day.

Novembermelnancholie

A November view of Mt. Rainier as see from a Highway 7 viewpoint south of Tacoma, WA in 2017. There is a church to my left and the highway behind my back, but plenty of forest straight ahead as we look on up to Mt. Rainier National Park.
Thank you for your kind visits my friends. We certainly are looking forward to spring here in the NW USA! :)
