Nottingham Community Transport operated an eclectic mix of Optare Solos on the Medilink prior to the introduction of the Versa EVs. 927 and 928 were both full size two-and-a-half bay W reg versions while the others were considerably newer and slightly smaller. Here is 928 using the 'ramp road' (for want of a better name) that connected the QMC's perimeter road with the parking outside the main hospital entrance on 2.7.14

As I went to Nottingham yesterday to purchase a new scanner, I thought it would be apt to download this slide onto Flickr. Taken on 29-7-94 above Lower Parliament St of Nottingham CT buses LRB 215W, RNU 429X and G333 NRC.

Running into the far end of platform 3 is 1L11 12.52 Liverpool Lime Street to Norwich. The rear Class 156 Super Sprinter DMU 156406 will be detached here leaving only the front Class 158 Express Sprinter DMU to continue to Norwich.

Calling in platform 4 is another Class 156 Super Sprinter DMU on 2L68 14.36 Lincoln to Leicester.

And finally, waiting in platform 5 is Class 222 Meridian DEMU 222102 which will form 1B61 the 16.05 to London St Pancras International.

This exhibition is the first solo presentation in a UK museum by the Brazilian artist Erika Verzutti (b.1971, São Paulo). It gathers together more than 40 works from the last 15 years, alongside a body of new work and a major site-specific commission.

Nottingham CT No507 stands at the bus stop in Langford Road, Nottingham on 1st September 1974. Just look at the well keep gardens and immaculate cut hedges, the clean, car-free streets. The whole scene has a sense of pride about, something sadly lacking in this day and age.

Nottingham Winter Wonderland. Taking over the Old Market Square with an ice rink, rides and an Xmas Market.

The clock tower is all that remains of Nottingham's Victoria Station, which was on the Great Central's main line to London. The rest of the site is given over to the Victoria shopping centre, although the former railway hotel survives in business, out of shot to the right of the clock tower.

The station had been closed to passengers in January 1960 but, at the time of the photograph, was still open for goods.
