#Facebook’s renews #notification tab
Over the years #Facebook has altered all the characteristic of its Facebook app expect its Notification tab. It has been a spot that has remained untouched.
Until now..!!!
The company is deliberate to embark a fresh appearance for the notification tab in #iOS and #android apps in the upcoming weeks
The revamp will include a suite of assistant-like #reminders about your day, friends and other #topics based on your fondness and preceding activity.
The modernized notifications tab will shell “contextual reminders” in the form of cards. If you've been fond of a page of a certain team or athlete, for instance, you may see a card alerting you to a forthcoming game.
Users may monitor 15 different cards but most will notice between five and seven different cards at any given time. The objective of the cards is to afford personalized experience, and users will be able to tweak the types of cards they view — or disable them completely.
Beneath your traditional notifications Facebook will show cards for:
•Friends’ birthdays
•Friends’ life events
•Your upcoming events
•Today’s top sporting events
•Today’s top TV shows
•Trending Topics
And if you give permission Facebook will track your location history, you’ll also get:
•Popular events nearby
•Local weather
•News shared locally
•Nearby Places your friends may have visited or reviewed
•Movies playing in nearby theaters
You can modify these new sets of cards to add or hide what you want, and manage for which you need to be notified.

A coalition of Jewish groups has withdrawn from an upcoming meeting with Protestant leaders in protest over a letter that called for the suspension of U.S. aid to Israel.
In their notification of non-participation in the October 22-23 Christian-Jewish Roundtable meeting in New York, the seven Jewish organizations said “While we remain committed to continuing our dialogue and our collaboration on the many issues of common concern, the letter represents an escalation in activity that the Jewish participants feel precludes a business-as-usual approach.”
The letter that led to the cancellation was signed by the heads of the Presbyterian Church (USA), the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, the United Methodist Church, the National Council of Churches USA and the United Church of Christ. It urged the U.S. Congress to reevaluate military aid to Israel and called for an investigation into “possible violations by Israel of agreements with Washington for alleged illegal use of U.S.-sold weapons against Palestinians.”
The Christian-Jewish Roundtable event began in 2004 over the issue of Protestant groups financially divesting from operations doing business with Israel. Since then, the inter-faith dialogue has been an annual event.
Proverbs 18:19 reminds us that “A brother offended is harder to be won than a strong city and their contentions are like the bars of a strong castle.” Their letter to Congress deeply offended their Jewish brethren and the Protestant group is now reaping the fallout from their decision. Pray for reconciliation between both groups that they may dialogue over their differences and “agree to disagree.” And join us as we pray for peace in Jerusalem.
