Ein paar Sonnenstrahlen und schon recken sich alle Blumen nach ihnen. Der Wind macht es ihnen ein wenig schwer. Sie werden hin und her geweht.
Subway station Stephansplatz in Hamburg. It is not entirely true, that on this picture, nothing is in focus. I tend to believe, my focus was sharp as a tack, just not visually.
Smile on Saturday, Nothing in focus

Theme: Nothing in Focus.
Taken with my new Lensbaby Velvet 56 lens and... it's in silver to go with my Nikon DF which is black and silver. They look beautiful together. It's been on order a while now so I was so excited to take delivery on Thursday. This happened to be my very first image with this new lens. Quite fitting for todays theme.
I knew it was gonna be a different and arty lens. I quite like a manual lens (I have two Helios, a Nikkor f1.2 and a Lensbaby twist) but I was quite shocked at the effect, it really has a wow factor, the images are beautiful but, I must learn to accept that its not a focussing lens per sea and I must go with the flow and let my real arty side come out and not worry that its not perfect but dreamy instead.

Smile on Saturday: Nothing in Focus
I thought I'd post this one because I think it's the most fun ... not the most beautiful😂
50 shades of green, or maybe even more.
Pointillism in photography, that’s what it looks like to me.
Great theme 👍
Happy Smile on Saturday

For Smile on Saturday's '#portray the name of a music band' theme...
Ocean Colour Scene are an English rock band, who had a few hits through the 1990s, and worked closely with members of Oasis and Paul Weller during this Brit Pop era.
Their album Moseley Shoals was released just as a I headed off to Uni (in the ‘90s) and was one of only a few albums I bought and listened to at that time. A few years ago OCS did a special "Moseley Shoals" tour, which I was lucky enough to see. It was amazing; worth the almost 30-year wait to see them live. Memorable also for a Paul Weller special appearance, and a duet between Steve Cradock and his young son. Best gig ever…

Please read below if you are curious about how this shot was taken:
These are silhouette within light bubbles (light bokeh). To create this effect, the prerequisite is that you have a (macro-) zoom lens allowing you to create bokeh effect.
The condition of light source is very important. One light bubble is formed by one light source, and the light source has to be strong and condensed so that you can form a clear light bubble together with a clear silhouette. In this image, these multiple bubbles are formed by dazzling lights on the surface of a lotus pond around noon time when the sky was clear and the sun was high.
The choice of object as the motif is also very important. Imagine about the size of dazzling light laying on the lens toward the sensor of the camera, the object should be something thin, small and delicate, so that you can get a nice silhouette within the bubble.
For making this photograph, you need to put the object in the focal range and aim the camera toward the direction of the light source (so that you are literally shooting a macro silhouette within a bokeh), and then manually adjust the focus, moving the camera as needed, until you get the composition you like in the frame. The angle toward the light source is important. If your light source is the reflective sunlight (such as the dazzling lights in my example), you really need to direct the camera to the point where you have those light coming toward your frame, in order to create the silhouette.

Smile on Saturday theme: Nothing in Focus
It's a rainy day unfocused type of day. raindrops landing on the railing and trees in the distance
A pic of our yard taken in September 2016. Once I read about Smile on Saturday's theme of "nothing in focus", I remembered this shot. :-) I was playing with a Petzval bokeh art lens that normally focuses sharp in the center, then you chose what kind of bokeh to use around it. It has aperture plates you stick into the lens. lol.. (see 1st comment box) Totally manual and as usual, I handhold it. Def a weird lens but really fun. Blurry can be beautiful. ;-) HSoS! :-)

Immer häufiger wird über UFO-Sichtungen berichtet. Hier eine erste (leider unscharfe) Aufnahme von Außerirdischen, deren UFO in unserem Garten landete.
