Hello my amazing Flickr friends !
Today is a pink or purple day at Color my World Daily and the theme at Smile on Saturday is nothing in focus.
If you have a blurry vison and nothing is in focus anymore, maybe love is making you blind !!! Please check your love life and maybe you will discover that you are madly in love (which is an awesome news… usually…) !
However, if you see that this picture is blurry, please don’t run to your optician yet. The blur in this picture was made on purpose…I repeat this is an artistic blur !! No need to change your glasses… but if you are madly in love consider buying a ring instead ;-).

An image of a Duranta repens shrub blurred. For 'Smile on Saturday' the theme is: 'Nothing in focus'.
For the Smile On Saturday challenge ‘Nothing In Focus’. Everything in the image has to be blurry. This is a photograph I took last year in the the tiny wildflower garden I made. I love this photograph, so I’m pleased to have a chance to use it. I normally challenge myself to have at least one critical but small bit of an image in focus. The main problem is my eyesight, rather than the camera. So I rely more and more on automatic settings and I delete a lot of images too. However, this image survived the cut and I’m glad it did.

This variety of helenium is called strawberry sundae. I thought I'd lost it due to frost - but it turns out I'd just moved it to a different spot in the garden! So i was mighty happy to re-discover it in flower a day or so ago ....
This was a conscious effort to use a subtle ICM, as the sun was already going down and light was poor. But I also happened to have accidentally left my lens in manual focus mode, so "not in focus" in two different ways. Which kind of worked perfectly for this theme!
(For once, I wasn't tempted to add a rainbow overlay.)

Even poorly captured images hold the memory of why one tried to photograph the moment. Guess that's why I've held on to this one so long.
Whenever I shoot something for Macro Mondays I always try to come up with something that I think no one else will think of. I struggled this week to come up with a unique idea but it suddenly was there, right in front of me. These out of focus other worldly looking things are actually the filaments of a solar powered garden light. It was shot on a very old vintage lens dating back to the 50s and using a couple of extension tubes to get in close. Will I see another one in the Macro Mondays submissions?... I wonder.

Tough choice for what to post for today’s challenge but decided to go for this 35mm film shot from my unpredictable Zeiss Rangefinder camera. I think the only thing that is in focus are the scratches on the negs!
I took this when I saw the guy framed in the doorway striking a classic ‘I’m on Facebook’ pose.

As if you had been in a bewitched forest ... Even if it certainly looks rather strange to others who watch me fiddling with the camera. What is she doing there, why is she jumping around like that? But – it did turn out to be a nice pattern, is'nt it? ;-)

So, als wäre man im verhexten Wald gewesen ... Auch wenn es sicherlich eher absonderlich aussieht für andere, die mich bei meinem Herumhantieren mit der Kamera beobachten. Was macht sie denn da bloß, warum hampelt sie so rum? Aber – ist es nicht ein schönes Muster geworden? ;-)

Unscharfe Fotos lösche ich, aber nicht immer ! Beim Durchsuchen meines Archives kam mir dann dieser Habicht unter, der so plötzlich zum Abflug abhob, dass er wunderbar unscharf dabei wurde ...😜
I usually delete blurred photos, but not always ! While searching through my archives I came across this hawk, which took off so suddenly that it became wonderfully blurred ...😜
In August of 2019, two women tourists reported that they were snapping pictures one night near the Chicago riverfront when they were approached by a pair of alien-like creatures who emitted a strange glow and asked if they had any spare change. At the time, local authorities discounted the report, but a blurry, third-party photo that was purportedly taken just before the encounter has recently surfaced, lending an air of credibility to the story.

This actually started out as my first choice for the Macro Mondays theme of Orange yesterday. But in the end I thought the filaments were more yellow than orange in this so I went with the other image that I posted. But I still really like this as well and it's abstract enough that I thought the composition held up on its own so I thought I would put it up anyway. I don't usually follow two images on the same theme but hey, why not live dangerously for once! If you're wondering what this is it's a solar powered garden light.
