Una notte, Firenze e proprio su queste sedie hai suonato le prime note del mio sax.

E l'incanto continua........

CSO/CMO of BluShock taking some time late at night to look over and write some notes, sitting on the overlook’s barrier.

This morning around 9:45 am Brandon wrote me a text telling me he wasn't happy. With us, life, anything.

I worked off stress at the gym on my break.

He went out of town with his "friends." The jerks that hate me. The jerks that told me they hate me. Because they can't get past high school cliques! (Jerks = Jocks. Me = Never labeled myself. I was friends with anyone and everyone.) The jerks he hasn't hung out with in almost a year but TONIGHT has to go out with.

When I get home to our empty house, this note was on the mirror. I am alone and crying. Sad. Confused. I don't know if I'm happy. I don't know. I'm lost.

Notes: Dufaycolor was an early British additive colour photographic film process, introduced for motion picture use in 1932 and for still photography in 1935. It was derived from Louis Dufay's Dioptichrome plates, a glass-based product for colour still photography, introduced in France in 1909. Both Dioptichrome and Dufaycolor worked on the same principles as the Autochrome process, but achieved their results using a layer of tiny colour filter elements arrayed in a regular geometric pattern, unlike Autochrome's random array of coloured starch grains. The manufacture of Dufaycolor film ended in the late 1950s.

Notes: A number of dishes came under a silver cloche. The staff was rather good-humored about this ritual, even enlisting us to count-down with them for the unveiling of our courses. Jovial and light-hearted, the service at le Cinq was generous and the highlight of the meal.

Fabulous show dudes. Really great to hear you speak again. It's been a while!

Notes and Words 2015 - Step and Repeat

This scarecrow, or bogle, at Ichabod's Cottage during 2011, announces this week's 2013 installment of the Bindlegrim book giveaway.

Week 2: Jitter

The second story is definitely a darker addition to this book's content. Whereas The Herbivorous Witch is best read with a sense for dark humor, Jitter, is rather more for those who like their horror gritty and grim.

bindlegrim.blogspot.com/2013/02/jitter-author-notes.html

*** GIVEAWAY DETAILS ***

1) Leave a blog comment (linked above) about whatever you like... about scarecrows, about writing, good stories, or better yet about Jitter.

2) For each author-notes blog entries, I will draw randomly at the end of that week to give someone who commented a signed printed copy of Tall Tales Shorter Days.

3) At the end of all six blog entries I will draw from all comments (more comments, more chances to win) for one Bindlegrim lantern - The Horrid Decor (Orange on Ghost Skin) seen below.

Note - Bindlegrim encourages and hopes, but does not require, that readers might leave a Like or a Review on the Amazon pages for the book: print or e-book.

127:365 Weaving carefully, I repeat things I've done many times before.

I've come across so many, whom I thought would appreciate such beautiful things, only to come back to ruin.

My lesson has been learned, don't trust too soon, but I make the mistake again. Thinking something must be different this time, thats where I go wrong.

Weaving again, not to trust, only for me to share.

Happy Last Week in July,

Hard to believe we're nearly 7/12ths done with 2015. Speaking of time flying, while at dinner at my folks' place this week, Nana trotted out a box of Lego I played with as a kid. Seeing toys I loved, 30 years later, left me with a wide smile. I instantly started piecing together familiar, but forgotten bricks. Watching the boys enjoy the toys widened my grin. Was nice to see that circle close. Thank you Nana for giving me the same great gift a second time.

If you'll remember my mail from last week... We killed Ellie, the boys' goldfish, in less than 24 hours. Naturally, we endeavor to teach our kids the power of persistence in the face of adversity. So, to that end, this week, we acquired 7 new goldfish and a second goldfish bowl. New fish. New equipment. Same result. 7 dead gold fish, and another gold fish funeral, in less than 48 hours. #BestParentsEver We're going to take a little gold fish break over here.

Was time this week for my annual jam batch. Pluot on Monday and Mango Habanero on Sunday. Both were might tasty if I do say so myself. Come on by and I'll happily share.

Saturday was soccer day. The boys had their customary morning practice, which preceded a very special treat. I was given a gift of four tickets to see Manchester United play Futbol Club Barcelona at Levi's Stadium in the afternoon. As one friend said: "You're setting the bar pretty high there, Mike." ManU and Futbol Club Barcelona are two of the world's most prestigious soccer teams. For the boys get to experience this as their first game was a unique opportunity indeed. The twins had a great time, left it all on the field, and crashed on the train ride home. I was particularly proud of the thank you notes they wrote to their benefactor.

Happy, lucky, and thankful. It's a great way to live.

Have a wonderful week.

Mike

This is the way a "note" used to be sent. This is part of a collection of old correspondence, christmas cards, post cards and valentine cards that I've had for years.

It seems I am sooo behind that I lost track of the deadline dates! lol Well I can't post it to the challenge but I can share with my contacts! Maybe I should make a "note" of challange deadline dates!
