Note: For the next four to five weeks due to some "medical stuff," my commenting will be sporadic, and postings will be of older shots. See profile.
This is a female wild River Otter. For years, they have found their way through the Sacramento (California) Delta rivers, and have made it to Two ponds in the Walnut Creek Open Space, where they repair their old den, usually have two pups, raise them, and then disappear for another eight months.
I'm not sure that they will be back this year. We have no fish here, and the Delta rivers and streams are dry or being sent elsewhere in the state. I won't get into the politics and some of the stupidity of our water regulations (like selling our water to bottled water companies which are then sold to Californians who don't know they're drinking their own tap water!). Sorry. I said I wouldn't get into that. I will say that, even if I was a gazillionaire, I'd still conserve. This is my fourth drought, but my second that has taken a toll on bird migration, nesting, etc.
P.S. This female otter (females are larger than males) image was one of Tom Blandford's favorites on SmugMug, and I thought it would be a good break until I'm able to hike into the hills and get some new shots of our wildlife.

Any I was inspired to create Rorschach from the beautiful Watchmen comic, after looking at [Nexus™]'s Rorschach figure I really liked the face idea aswell. so I stole it. Anyway this was a very fun figure to whip up.
Enjoy

Well here it is, my favourite shot taken in Cornwall last week (and probably of the year so far). This was the one of the views from the balcony of our lodge, taken early in the morning just as the sun was rising. The position of the bird on the wire couldn't have been more perfect.

Hi Everyone :-)
I hope you're all doing fine, it's been long i didnt hit flickr, due to some personal reasons, and now i finally quit photography. I have sold my camera, intially i wanted to sell and buy a new and better one, but now plan is changed. Due to some certain reasons, which some of you may know, i am just leaving. before i leave, i wanted to say Thanks to all of you, each n everyone of you, who encouraged, praised, commented. All of you have been very nice and sweet to me. I tried to stay nice and sweet as well, but if i unknowingly said something wrong or bad to any of you, i beg your pardon for that. We're just humans. Thank you all again. I was not a great photographer, nor even a standard photography, i was just a camera player i guess, but i enjoyed staying at flickr. I've got so many friends due to fickr. That's the best it gave me you know, and there is the bestest as well.
Stay Healthy, always stay healthy, and be consious of your health, that's my best and only advice to Everyone of you.
take lots of care..

“I belong here where you arranged for me to meet your son for the first time. He never came. I’m……………..”
An evening stroll around Bristol Docks snapping but not happy. Just about to go for a coffee and I saw this sad message chalked upon the dockside. It can’t have been there long with all the rain we have been having.
Hey folks. I hope this frivolous note finds you all doing well and that you are taking precautions for the greater good, if not for your own sakes. I'm hunkered down, working from home with my fiancee (and our dog), thankful that I have good company, shelter, food, and a job. Not everyone, indeed a great number of people, are not as fortunate. I think of this always, as even before the pandemic struck.
So, a took a quick break to head over to my storage unit, otherwise known as Alex's closet. No human contact whatsoever, I was happy to see. Anyway, my plan was to clear it out in anticipation of more significant curfews and the like as the weeks and months wear on. I don't want that stuff out there, beyond my control, in the event bad things happen. So, I packed stuff up and came home to store the items quietly. Anything I could not fit easily were deposited into a Goodwill box.
While going through stuff, I found a flash drive I had lost track of. Several photos were in there that have not been posted, so that was a cool surprise. This is a photo I took a year ago, trying on outfits and so forth before the 2019 Keystone Conference a week later.
So, with that said, I'm happy, though bummed a bit that I won't have the opportunity to dress as Alex for a long time. The Keystone Conference was on my radar for a year (to begin today, as it happens) until just a few weeks ago when it was rightfully canceled for public health reasons. Next year will be a grand event, to be sure!
Be safe, my friends!
Lego Dan and Dot are ending their Highland adventure on a high note in a high place. Not that high though, Stac Pollaidh is only reaches 612m. But when your only about 4cm tall, that's like the equivalent of three Mount Everests... probably.
Dodgy maths aside, it's their opinion that Stac Pollaidh is the best 'little' mountain they've ever climbed - the Grade 3 scramble to the summit is awesome!
