...this is a picture both of things I really enjoy — reading and writing — but also of my (relative) wealth.
Not one, but two Kindles; not one, but two traveler's notebooks, with relevant accessories; wool carpeting; the camera I used to take the picture; the computer I'm using to write this text, and the free time I have to write it.
I went to Borders (nearly couldn't get to Borders because I had no idea what the building name was!!) and was hoping to get a fabric wrapped notebook from 'paperchase'. The one I have now is used to record scribbles of the amigurumi designs as I crochet.
I couldn't find any of those, so I have to settle with whatever they have in store. Then, I spotted this notebook with the graphic printed eye on the cover, I know immediately this is MY address book.
Will be making the indexes myself, since address book is really scarce now, hence the lack of selection.
This notebook is made from felt and was hand embroidered from a pattern drawn by myself.

Fresh out of the shrink wrap is my new Pocket Moleskine Storyboard Notebook. It's perfect for designing web sites as there are frames that you can draw in and illustrate interactivity and transitions.
It's quite small, but will fit perfectly in my pocket. Another one for my notebook collection! The smell of these little notebooks is something else!
"The notebook for advertising creatives, graphic designers and filmmakers. A sequence of frames for drawing your mini-stories."
This was made from a poster and a standard spiral notebook. The spiral binding was removed and the paper trimmed to accomodate the new binding and image. The cover is laminated to preserve the image.

FRONT POCKET: AKA index card caddy. I taped a clear plastic envelope to the inside front cover. I keep a few index cards and a thin, flexible graph ruler (Staedtler 18" graph ruler, cut in half = 2 rulers for the price of one!).
These are mods I've made to my Maker Notebook. See makezine.com/notebook/

I needed a notebook powerful enough to do serious work on, and I was thinking about getting a MacBook Air, but I didn't like the keyboard much, and it won't run Oracle. So I got a Toshiba Portégé R500, which only weighs three-quarters as much, but has a DVD drive and replaceable battery.
Just a couple more pictures I never got around to posting. I haven't really had time to take photos yet this week, but I hope to get some today - it's snowing! I've been trying to 'collect' the mini spiral notebooks from Sanrio so I bought all 4 colors of this... ^^;
