This notebook is made from felt and was hand embroidered from a pattern drawn by myself.

This was made from a poster and a standard spiral notebook. The spiral binding was removed and the paper trimmed to accomodate the new binding and image. The cover is laminated to preserve the image.

It's spring (no matter what the calendar says) and the temperatures are in their up-down cycle. Today was 82 degrees and I spent a lot of time outside- taking the opportunity to draw while I did :)
Now the clocks have gone forward, it is light much later, meaning we get more outdoor time :)

In Zuid-Amerika zie je er af en toe eentje in het straatbeeld opduiken, maar hier in België is het nieuw: een krantenwinkel waar je ook kan ontbijten en lunchen. Bij Revista - Spaans voor 'tijdschrift' - kan je dus gewoon de krant kopen en er een lekker koffietje bij drinken. Naast de evergreens uit de nationale en internationale pers prijken andere bekende en mindere bekende titels uit de mode-, lifestyle, muziek- en designwereld. Je kan er ook snuffelen tussen enkele boeken of je muziekcollectie uitbreiden met door USA IMPORT geselecteerde cd's. Dankzij een hotspot kan je hier ook gemakkelijk wireless internetten. De broodjes die ze hier 's middags smeren, zijn altijd kraakvers en het aanbod verandert geregeld. Wie opteert voor een ontbijt - en dat kan gaan van simpel tot uitgebreid - mag zelf een krant kiezen want die zit in de prijs inbegrepen.
As a writer I cannot do without my notebooks. I always have a notebook handy just in case a big idea, quote, or any interesting conversations need to be jotted down.

I needed a notebook powerful enough to do serious work on, and I was thinking about getting a MacBook Air, but I didn't like the keyboard much, and it won't run Oracle. So I got a Toshiba Portégé R500, which only weighs three-quarters as much, but has a DVD drive and replaceable battery.
Just a couple more pictures I never got around to posting. I haven't really had time to take photos yet this week, but I hope to get some today - it's snowing! I've been trying to 'collect' the mini spiral notebooks from Sanrio so I bought all 4 colors of this... ^^;

Chelsea provided us with notebooks and pens, and a set of flower cutting sheers to use during class. (they worked a lot better than my kitchen scissors. surprise.)

I realized that having three identical notebooks could only end badly. I may try to scare up colored pencils to make them prettier.
Every time I stop at Muji I grab an handful of these notebooks, they are small, handy, the size of a passport, and I like to customize the covers.
For my upcoming dissertation I will have to do a lot of research, so to motivate myself to do it I made a special notebook. The pages are partly printed preparation, partly scrap paper I had at home from various old notebooks and school exercise books.
First day for my internship at GLIDE. I was so tired afterwards that I forgot about the photo and took it several minutes after midnight.

Original black & white photograph covers, 5"x7" softcover notebooks.
Each notebook contains 50 sheets, hand cut and bound. A different type of paper in each book including lined, grid & unlined. Notebooks lay flat when open. If you prefer a single type of paper or any combination feel free to drop me an e-mail.
