After my two weeks in Bercianos taking care of pilgrims on their way to Santiago, I walked a few days myself - just from Bercianos to LeĆ³n, where I caught a train on to the next part of my adventure.
I walked slowly and sent my bag ahead of me, but still got blisters. I listened to the birds and sometimes to a podcast about grief. I stopped to write or paint whenever I felt like it. I chatted with people and made some friends but also savored solitude after two weeks of continuous communication.
Next time when I'm mad at you? Just #wrap your arms around me and don't let me go! I am mad, I know, but sometimes I just need a #HUG!
