Il Museo di Antichità di Torino con la mostra “Archeologia a Torino” apre di fatto la sua terza sezione, dedicata alla lunga storia della città. Il trasferimento della Galleria Sabauda nella Manica Nuova di Palazzo Reale e la creazione di un unico ingresso per i due musei - che contribuiscono a completare il Polo Reale - hanno offerto l’occasione per l’allestimento dei locali al piano seminterrato, direttamente affacciati sul teatro romano.
Tali suggestivi ambienti saranno da ora i primi spazi di visita del Museo di Antichità.
there used to be drop tile ceiling in the LR/DR and that was the first thing we took down. there was a ceiling fan mounted to the drop tile almost in the same spot where we want to put our new fan. romex was tied into the knob and tube (seen dangling through the hole) and left atop the drop tile ceiling, a nono and fire hazard.
the plan is to find the next joist and gouge a hole through right by it and install the fan wherever that may be. then i need to make a hole through the original joist and fish romex through to the new hole, properly tie the wiring together in a junction box, stuff that box through the original hole and wire up the ceiling fan in the new hole.
The plumbers need to access the sanitary T and the ideal bend; lucky us, it was under the tub. We're now in "worst case scenario" as far as how long it will take.
La Sala de ca l'Adzet o les antigues de escoles de Bigues és una nau rectangular de planta baixa i pis, que s'havia utilitzat per a múltiples funcions; escoles municipals, sala d'espectacles, casal social...etc.
A la façana principal hi ha una escala exterior fins al primer pis, que es desdobla en dos trams simètrics des del primer replà. Les obertures segueixen un ritme vertical, però es diferencien segons els usos de cada zona de l'edifici. Totes elles estan emmarcades per un esgrafiat molt senzill, amb motius geomètrics.
Al davant hi ha una petita placeta arbrada, que formava part de l'edifici, on s'hi han trobat restes arqueològiques.
