Sobieski park
Created at the beginning of the last century, this is above all a park for walking and recreation; it is also a part of the Brussels “green network” that, in this capacity, plays an ecological role in the Brussels landscape. SobieskiPark was not originally a public park. It was part of the royal gardens of Leopold II and produced fruit for the court.
A wooded bed runs along the two streets that border the garden. A 3000-square-metre body of water, now colonised by numerous palmipeds, has been excavated in the lower portion.
In the centre of the garden, some tall stock fruit trees have been planted in a large mowed meadow. This leads to the upper portion, where espaliered fruit trees and a very beautiful bed of rhododendrons grow.
A colony of Egyptian geese lives around the pond, and a fox has chosen to live on the site. Four plant specimens are on the Brussels list of remarkable trees. Others are worth a detour, such as a magnificent catalpa and an impressive weeping willow.
The meadow is only mowed once or twice a year, and thus has become a natural space that contrasts with the rest of the park, maintained by the gardeners of Brussels Environment.

Can Feliu o can Sitjas és una masia d'origen humil de l'Ametlla del Vallès que consta des de l'any 1780, segurament any en què es va reformar, ja que es considera que és, molt probablement, anterior a aquesta data. Històricament, ha tingut una forta dependència de la veïna can Forns.
És una masia de tipologia 2 segons Danés, això és amb una teulada de dues vessants, perpendiculars a façana. La façana és arremolinada i pintada a sobre. Compta amb una estructura de 2 plantes i un tercer pis repujat amb una terrassa. La casa té una porta principal, amb brancal de totxo i una de secundària d'una reforma posterior. Es troben 4 finestres amb empits i brancals de totxo tot i que han quedat amagats per la reforma de la façana. Les parets interiors són fetes de pedra. A la dècada de 1930, Eugeni Xammar va comprar la casa, que va reformar i ampliar, afegint un cos al lateral dret de la casa i un torreó a la cantonera d'un marcat estil colonial. L'edificació encara conserva les antigues corts, tot i que ja no hi ha bestiar.
Dins les propietats cal destacar el rec de can Feliu, que encara avui en dia porta aigua.
Tradicionalment s'hi ha conreat vinya, ametllers i oliveres.

Il Museo di Antichità di Torino con la mostra “Archeologia a Torino” apre di fatto la sua terza sezione, dedicata alla lunga storia della città. Il trasferimento della Galleria Sabauda nella Manica Nuova di Palazzo Reale e la creazione di un unico ingresso per i due musei - che contribuiscono a completare il Polo Reale - hanno offerto l’occasione per l’allestimento dei locali al piano seminterrato, direttamente affacciati sul teatro romano.
Tali suggestivi ambienti saranno da ora i primi spazi di visita del Museo di Antichità.

The hole in the bricks along the trim is where the outlet used to be. It was embedded in the plaster so it made sense there before.
I have plans to build a bench along the wall with cubbies/shelves underneath for shoes and general storage.
Inside the wall, view from cabinet area towards removed sconce. Drilled through the 2x4 with a paddle bit to run the romex wire to the new location.
