Upper Antelope Canyon, slot canyon Page Arizona. I took this shot with my Note4, no editing needed. I used my phone because I didn't have enough reach with the lens on my camera. The tour didn't allow packs or tripods, so all I brought was my camera with the 16-35mm lens. If I go again, which I'd really like to, I'll bring two cameras with different lenses. About half of the folks in my group of 12 were using their phones, which only a few years ago wouldn't have probably been worth doing.
Il maniero risale ai primi anni del XIII° secolo ed essendo posizionato in una zona poco interessante a livello strategico,è giunto fino a noi in condizioni pressoché integre.

I didn't have my camera so, I took this picture with my phone. Not the best picture but I love the place. I may go back one day to take pictures with my real camera and it may look a lot better.
Made a delivery last night in Los Angeles and noticed my reflection in the passenger window of the truck docked next to me. The other face is another driver, one more truck over. Anyway, just something for fun, using my Note4's camera. Happy Friday the 13th. Boo!!!

La Storia del Messaggero Veneto è lunga settant'anni.
La testata è nata subito dopo la fine della seconda guerra mondiale.
Esordì il 24 maggio 1946 in un momento storico di grandi mutamenti per l'Italia.
A quell'epoca si cominciò a pensare alla pubblicazione di un quotidiano da diffondere anche a Trieste che a quell'epoca era sotto il governo alleato.

at sunset time a beautiful young leopard (panthera pardus) male
called "Quarantine" climbed the termite mound next to us and
started watching the sunset.
then he decided to get up and leave.
the scene was too close for my camera lens so i decided to use my smartphone.
a now very old Samsung Note4 did his job .
the rangers were very surprised by this shot and they asked me a copy of the photo.
Quarantine is now a dominant male in sabie sands, this shot is in the ranger office.

LE COLLINE DEL PROSECCO.
Le colline tra Collalto e Susegana presentano sconfinate distese di vigneti, patria del buon Prosecco, e innumerevoli roccaforti medievali, quali il Castello di Susegana e il Castello di Collalto.
Atmosfere d'altri tempi che ricordano antiche battute di caccia, fitte foreste e ruscelli si mescolano ad un contesto agreste, alle coltivazioni, ai frutteti e alle vigne che producono l'apprezzato prosecco.Passeggiando lungo i viali si ascoltano gli uccelli muoversi tra i rami degli alberi, il ruscellare limpido dell'acqua del torrente Rujo, ma anche i muggiti che provengono dalla fattoria didattica dove si producono mozzarelle di bufala e i giovani riscoprono i mestieri del fattore e del contadino. A dominare questa campagna movimentata dalle colline e dai filari delle viti si ergono i castelli di Collalto e di San Salvatore.

IL POLMONE VERDE ATTORNO AL LAGO.
Collocato tra i comuni di Ragogna e San Daniele del Friuli, rappresenta l’ultimo dei laghi intermorenici formatosi con l’antico ghiacciaio del Tagliamento. Riconosciuto come SIC grazie alle sue particolarità naturalistiche (è l’unico sito del nord est in cui vive la castagna d’acqua) ha un’estensione di 23 ettari e una profondità massima di circa 10 metri. Gli apporti idrici del lago provengono dal Monte di Ragogna e, in periodi di siccità , dal torrente Repudio che, grazie a un’opera idraulica, consente di mantenere il livello di laminazione dello specchio d’acqua. Situato lungo la rotta di diverse specie di uccelli migratori, si rivela una zona particolarmente adatta al birdwatching.

FIORITURA ANTICIPATA.
Passeggiando per le strade di Udine mi sono imbattuto in questo arbusto fiorito che preannuncia la primavera....oggi però è solo il 13 gennaio 2016,appena 23 giorni dall'inizio dell'inverno.
Pazzesco !!!!!!

Situated on the island of Tenerife, Teide National Park features the Teide-Pico Viejo stratovolcano that, at 3,718 m, is the highest peak on Spanish soil. Rising 7,500 m above the ocean floor, it is regarded as the world’s third-tallest volcanic structure and stands in a spectacular environment. The visual impact of the site is all the greater due to atmospheric conditions that create constantly changing textures and tones in the landscape and a ‘sea of clouds’ that forms a visually impressive backdrop to the mountain. Teide is of global importance in providing evidence of the geological processes that underpin the evolution of oceanic islands.
Echium wildpretii is a species of flowering plant in the family Boraginaceae. It is an herbaceous biennial plant that grows up to 3 m (10 ft) in height. The nominal subspecies is endemic to the island of Tenerife, and is found mainly in Las Cañadas del Teide. The subspecies E. wildpretii subsp. trichosiphon occurs at high altitudes on La Palma. The common names are tower of jewels, red bugloss, Tenerife bugloss or Mount Teide bugloss.The Spanish name for this plant is tajinaste rojo.

Se nel giorno di Pasqua centri commerciali e negozi in genere sono rimasti chiusi, Pasquetta sarà giorno di shopping, con tutte le principali strutture che alzeranno la saracinesca. E c'è da scommetterci che i templi degli acquisti saranno presi letteralmente d'assalto, specie in virtù delle condizioni meteo che non si prospettano buone. Le grigliate e i pic-nic rischiano quindi di essere posti in secondo piano, per dare spazio a una o più vasche nei luoghi di culto degli "shopping addicted".

Cresce comunemente su legno morto di latifoglie, cespitoso, fruttifica dalla primavera all'autunno in zone umide ed ombreggiate. Non è commestibile.

PERLOMENO SALVA LE CICCHE DA TERRA...
Con il termine "tabagismo" si indica una sindrome tossica dovuta all'uso costante e prolungato di tabacco, in prevalenza di tabacco da fumo (sigarette e sigari), in percentuale nettamente minore di tabacco da pipa, da fiuto e da masticare.
Il tabacco contiene nicotina, un alcaloide tossico, e varie sostanze cancerogene, cui si aggiungono nella fase gassosa composti parimenti tossici quali ossido d'azoto e monossido di carbonio. I danni più importanti prodotti dal fumo di tabacco sono quelli a carico dell'apparato respiratorio e cardiovascolare.
