Frost and ice in Florida? Yes! We have many winter days with temps (F) in the 20s. Hard freezes and frost is not uncommon. One year it was so cold that the giant wild pythons in the Everglades were freezing to death, and it even got to freezing temps in the Keys! The saving grace is that it might be 30F when you wake up, but then later in the day it will warm to 60F! And we have a pretty decent amount of sunshine most of the time.
These are micro shots of ice crystals from the frost on various bits of vegetation in my yard. I have to shoot them early in the morning because even the heat from my breath will start them to melting, and even if the temp is 30F, when the sun hits the yard the frost vanishes in minutes so I have to move fast.

These photos were taken in and around the Cumberland Caverns. My father and I purchased a "buckestlist package" which included swag, two meals in the cave, and a motel at the Fall Creek Falls State Park. Gorgeous. Just gorgeous!

Picked up some beautiful kirby cucumbers at a farm in South Carolina earlier to day and put them in a brine to make garlic/dill pickles. The house is going to reek of garlic and dill for weeks. I can hardly wait!

Note the drive crystal in the center rear. It propels the craft under the guidance of the wizard. I originally envisioned the craft as being wand or staff driven, but that's kind of less exciting to build, so I went for a crystal and a helm.
Note: The silks are those used when the owner has no silks or forgot them. They were called track silks and each track had their own version. The Maryland Jockey Club chnaged over to solid color silks with "MJC" on the front in late summer of 2011 and used at all Maryland tracks - Maryland tracks no longer have individual silks.

I am so glad fur is back for fall! Transition from summer in a vest version that can be worn for work, dinner, or girls night! Of Course I like to take fashion cues from my favorite stylist Rachel Zoe! She rocks her fur vest over a black top and jeans for dinner or with an evening gown for a night on the town. My other style icon is Olivia Palermo, she wears hers to work over a men's wear shirt, pencil skirt, and belts it. The Olsen twins are also on trend wearing there's with black long sleve shirts.
