I was playing "drop the dollar" with Pap-Pap at Christmas - he drops $2 bills, and if you catch it you get to keep it, and if you don't catch it then you go to the end of the line until you do. This time I caught something a little different. Notice anything odd compared to your usual dollar bills?

It's not a "Federal Reserve Note", it's a "US Note"!

All the details are on my blog.

Taken in 2008.

I was sitting on a bench in the Rabb Gallery, ready to take a shot in this direction, when this girl in a green sweater stepped into my frame -- and stayed there. Okay, I thought, I'll click the shutter and see what I get. Well, this is what I got.

At the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.

Cleaning out the car the other day and came across this list I made a while back:

Brass cleaner: check

Bucket: check

Bamboo blinds for bedroom: check

Pirate sword: check

Mosquito bomb: check

Pirate sword?

While in Portsmouth, Massachusetts, an aeroplane was spelling out messages in the sky- clearly it was somebody's lucky day! We travel to the States regularly so this one was particularly relevant to us...

Note carefully, when choosing your shirt size, whether you are buying the American Apparel brand Girly T or the Threadless brand Girly T. As you can see, they're vastly different in length.

The website has these two t-shirts being an inch apart in length, but by my measurements, the Threadless variety is 4" longer.

I like that the Threadless variety has more room in the arms and neck, but I hate that it extends to halfway down my butt. Yuck. I'm all for longer-torso girly tees, but my torso is about 3" up from here.

I'm tossing it in the wash and hoping it shrinks in length without cutting off circulation in my arms or neck.

These are both XL, fwiw. That's my size in "girly" terms. And yes, the outfit on the left is what I wore yesterday. With flip flops.

Has something to say.

Tim managed to give himself Mallet Finger putting up an umbrella. It was when Crowded House brought the weather with them.

Something new. Something odd. Something old.

When there isn't a test to prove. When there isn't a 'have to' or 'must'.

Learn for yourself.

For plain ol' joy it brings to you.

Closer still

Note taped to a glass door of an abandoned building in Saginaw, Michigan that reads "A little work will make a lifetime of memories". I'm not really sure what they mean by that.

Four university students comparing their notes from college, sitting in the park on a beautiful day

A rather passive aggressive note my roommate's boyfriend left, because apparently he can't handle it if we don't flush every time we pee. He doesn't live here, but acts like it.

I think I might have this framed.

Leon, Luna, Darren, Dinnie, Jen, Jean, June, Joyce, Mika, Mimi, Eric & Queenie..

Note the tabs. Note also that its complaining about a popup that it is blocking even though popup blocking is turned off and there are no popups to block. It's objecting to the google maps stuff I think.

This is the necklace Anita gave me when she came.

It's been a while. This is the top of my computer desk. The springtime sun has perked up the bonsai and the cacti; they'll be going outside soon. Also featured is my impractically large and ever-growing shot glass collection.

I make notes about my photos every day. I cut sheets of A4 paper in half lengthways and keep them beside my computer keyboard.
