More of this sort of thing, but with added awful jpeg compression: www.facebook.com/pages/Lightpaintingorguk/517424921642831
If I'm being honest, it's more like half a million to the lightpollution and one or maybe two to me.
But hey, sod it. I'm chuffed. Got a new RGB LED that's bright enough to combat the light pollution in my garden, and hence, should work under most streetlights. There are 3 around the house, all closer than the one visible in the shot.
I don't often get so pleased with a shot that I have the urge to upload it straight away, but it's taken a while to get this thing working, so I feel I am allowed a modest amount of 'Muhahargh'-ing.

The nice people at www.lomography.com sent me an instant camera and some film to do some lightpainting with.
It works pretty well, the bulb mode works fine, and it's nice to watch the image develop before your eyes.
Looking forward to taking it out and about.

Our invasive mint plants are almost ready to bloom. They will draw literally hundreds of flies, wasps, bees and butterflies daily for a few weeks. Perfect for macro.

I found a nice Kodachrome 25 recipe that reminds me of my beginnings in photography way back in the day. I've decided to apply the simulation on a variety of subjects for awhile.

These things are rather fashionable around my way right now, so I thought I'd give it a shot during a quick visit to the local big tunnel.
Finally got a light sorted that works with the perspex blade from Mr JD Page's lightpaintingbrushes.com/collections/plexiglass-light-pai... so this seemed an opportune moment to test it out. All my existing lights were either too dim to work with a blade, or had the switch in the wrong place, but the DIY job here did the trick.
I felt a tad uncomfortable bumping the ISO up and dropping the Fstop, but it worked out OK with the brighter LEDs.

The rainy day allowed lots of color saturation.

We've had very bland, gray blue skies for a few days. Today brought a welcome break with some really nice clouds.
