Electroluminescent tree ressurected and temporarily installed in the Victoria Tunnel. There's 629ft of el-wire in there. It needs re-jigged somewhat, but now it's portable, it can go out and about.
This very ugly bug allowed me to get pretty close with the macro lens. Ended up being a stare down.

A reflection in the window of the Rapid Airport train that I took from Takikawa to the New Chitose Airport on my way back to Utsunomiya from Hokkaido.

Made a new LED stick, using addressable strips and hacking them into the control unit from a Bitbanger Labs Pixelstick.
It's got some potential for full-on psychedelic overload style shots.
No post processing. (Plenty of pre-processing though...)

This sky belies what the day will bring. We have high-wind warnings out for later this morning and snow flurries to come at approximately the same time. The flurries should not amount too much but it does not matter, the wind chill will be too brutal for man or beast anyway. The entire week it is be much the same.
