The blooms are just starting. So no butterfly visits yet.
I was just ready to take a macro shot of these two flowers when the hover fly landed for about 2 seconds which allowed me 2 shots. This was the best.

Electroluminescent tree ressurected and temporarily installed in the Victoria Tunnel. There's 629ft of el-wire in there. It needs re-jigged somewhat, but now it's portable, it can go out and about.

Mucking about at my favourite Northumbrian mesolithic site. It's always good to trying to confuse the spirits of the ancestors by waving lights on sticks about in the dark. I hope they appreciate it.

This sky belies what the day will bring. We have high-wind warnings out for later this morning and snow flurries to come at approximately the same time. The flurries should not amount too much but it does not matter, the wind chill will be too brutal for man or beast anyway. The entire week it is be much the same.
I used my ACROS special recipe for high contrast and smooth tonal transitions.
