āHermitās Nookā
This one was created for anyone who has ever felt different, left out, stigmatized or any other situation thatās left you feeling separated from others.
I created this while feeling ill and mostly away from society except an occasional trip to the market. I started to sense myself go from this bright person selling my art a week ago at an art fair to a recluse who wasnāt so sure art was his thing. It forced me to take some action against these feelings because I know they were temporary just like most of our negative narratives to ourself. Then a Brooke Shaden video popped up on YouTube showing how to create art with just a single wall in your house with no fancy props or locations. I decided to go for it and after tearing apart my bedroom to get to that wall here is my finished piece. Just like Monday, that odd day of the week everyone wants to hate or forget about, letās make today different and make it an extraordinary day of the week. I encourage you to do something different today that sets it apart in your memory.
3 weeks after my first visit, I came back to check the evolution of the pup. Still an amazing scenery to see the pup got bigger and the relationship that they have with their moms.
A grey seal bull is a pretty intimidating beast. Weighing up to 500lbs and with a tendency to be aggressive during mating season they are quite a sight. It doesn't help that during their two month occupation of the beach the adults do not eat. Every year the beaches at Donna Nook populate with breeding seals from early November to the end of December. Numbers are huge with last Fridays count being 489 bulls, 1629 cows and 1554 pups. With half of the worlds grey seal population living in British waters it is important that we look after their environment. Thankfully the Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust who manage the beach are on hand to educate visitors and promote the well being of these mammals.
The seals come ashore to give birth and mate. This of course provides an opportunity fro watch their behaviour and for the hoards of visitors a chance to photograph the natural world.

Do not go gentle into that good night,
Old age should burn and rave at close of day;
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
Though wise men at their end know dark is right,
Because their words had forked no lightning they
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Good men, the last wave by, crying how bright
Their frail deeds might have danced in a green bay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
Wild men who caught and sang the sun in flight,
And learn, too late, they grieved it on its way,
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Grave men, near death, who see with blinding sight
Blind eyes could blaze like meteors and be gay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
And you, my father, there on the sad height,
Curse, bless, me now with your fierce tears, I pray.
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Have a wonderful Sunday Ya'll
Patience is not one of the Wood Nymph's known qualities. She was supposed to meet someone but is a real challenge for her to even stay still.
Thanks to Phill for his encouragement.

These little critters are taking a stroll over the bridge to Nook (nook-shop.blogspot.com) tomorrow along with a bunch of eco felt lavender scented birds. If you live in or are visiting Brisbane and you haven't been to Nook then you're missing out on some essential retail therapy! Check it out at 19 Browning Street, West End.

Magpie at Daisy Nook Country Park. I thought I would upload this young Magpie because I think they are often overlooked. It only looks like a young one, so I thought he deserved his (or her) moment of fame. I hope you like it! ;-)
A Navajo Jewelry Nooks near Lees Ferry Az. Lots of these around from Monument Valley south. I liked the background in this view.

Mum and pup share a moment on the shores at Donna Nook. We watched this mother for a while. All the time she was encouraging the pup to suckle by tapping it with her fin.
