The largest aircraft that lands at Lindbergh Field/San Diego International Airport is this Boeing 777-300ER, flight BA 273 nonstop from London's Heathrow Airport to San Diego. It amazes me that 11 hours before this picture was taken (at 6:30pm PST), the last time this plane was on the ground was 3:30pm local time in London, United Kingdom in Europe!
Picture is dedicated to Doug in Jacksonville, FL who inspired me to take aviation pictures with the airport so close to the city :) Of course, I started with the biggest plane that lands in San Diego, but I'm excited to capture the Edelweiss from Zurich, Switzerland (an Airbus A-340) and the Japan Airlines from Tokyo, Japan (a Boeing 787-8, which I've never seen before). Also, rumor has it that this British Airways flight seasonally changes to a Boeing 747, which I'd love to see.
This vibrant begonia looks ready for Christmas. Last year it bloomed in our San Francisco garden until the end of December

It’s so early in the season that in lower elevations the fall colors are still peak. Despite that, the winter has started in the Sierra Nevada mountains and snow fighters are out in full force. During an afternoon storm, a flanger set with UP 580 on point makes its way out of Truckee for the third time this day to make its rounds to Blue Canyon where they would turn back east to Truckee. These locomotives and crew have had little time to rest between trips with a crew change, waiting on Amtrak, and a refuel being the only things giving a rest between runs. A massive storm had come through in the previous days prior to this and even at the end of the storm the snow still was falling hard. Just earlier that morning, the ground was covered in snow until the sun melted it all, but after this last snowfall the ground would be white again.
I'm not a great fan of the zoos, I Love the animals in your environment, not in closed spaces or in jails, but is a great opportunity for take a different photos... =O).

We were in the center of Dublin, and although the rain invited me to return home, I proposed to my wife to try a picture of her at The Temple Bar that had been in my head for a long time. Nothing better than immortalizing this Dubliner place under the rain at nightfall. Although it may not seem like that, there were quite a lot of people going through this well-known place, but I got the picture I wanted with several shots and a little skill when it comes to mixing and eliminating people. It was not easy to pose under the rain of that cold evening, so I have to greatly thank my supermodel for her collaboration on this photograph. This pub is the most famous in the city and has been there since 1870, but I have never seen a photograph like this of this mythical place of Dublin.

Los versos anteriores los he escrito en español, así que en inglés sonarán bastante peor. Pero no he querido dejar pasar la inspiración, como no la quise dejar pasar hace unos días cuando tenía otros planes para fotografiar que la lluvia fastidió. Nos encontrábamos en el centro de Dublín, y aunque la lluvia invitaba a volver a casa, le propuse a mi mujer que probáramos con una foto de ella en The Temple Bar que llevaba mucho tiempo en mi cabeza. Nada mejor que inmortalizar este lugar tan dublinés bajo la lluvia al caer la noche. Aunque no lo parezca había bastante gente pasando por este lugar tan conocido, pero he conseguido la fotografía que deseaba con varias tomas y un poco de habilidad a la hora de mezclarlas y eliminar a gente. No era fácil posar bajo la lluvia de esa fría noche, así que tengo que agradecer enormemente a mi supermodelo su colaboración en este fotografía. Este pub es el más famoso de la ciudad y lleva ahí desde 1870, pero yo al menos nunca he visto una fotografía como esta de este mítico lugar dublinés.

Begonia 'NonStop Mix' with its double blooms is available in a range of shades. This variety is weather-resistant, easy to care for and will appear extremely attractive in containers, beds and borders throughout July through to October. Height and spread, 12 in. (30 cm).
Begonia plugs can be planted straight into flower pouches but are best potted on first and grown on in bright, frost-free conditions if they are to be displayed in baskets, window boxes, pots and beds. Begonia plants can be transplanted into their final containers once they have increased in size. When all risk of frost has passed, acclimatise begonia plants to outdoor conditions over a period of 7 to 10 days, before placing them in their final position, preferably in a sunny or semi shaded position that is protected from strong winds.

American wigeons grace the Pacific Northwest with their presence each winter, where they hang out in large teams. They chatter almost nonstop and eat, eat, eat.
Females (like this one) seem to be far less shy than the males, in my experience. This gives me ample time to snap some up-close profile shots.
