...then jump!! La Princessa Noccalula, not to be confused with La Princessa..Pinky! It was just a foggy dreary day all day.
My response to Brian's upload today LOL:
Yep it was cold this day, probably near freezing. And yes I was only wearing a t-shirt. But I was not the one in shorts but wearing gloves hahaha. Guess who Kami !?
Tangled in the web of packing. Hope to be back to commenting better real soon. Just had to get my flickr fix by posting something. Diggin the archives.
A tender moment with the 2 girls. Brookelyn always seems to be looking elsewhere other than the camera - a true model to be !
Noccalula Falls. Alabama
Looking downstream at Noccalula Falls at sunset, the water is soo low. I have posted this shot several other times at different seasons so why not post a summer shot. I just like the way the sky reflected on the water all the way down the stream. Just humor me people, it is hot and hard to find something to shoot.
Noccalula Falls Park (originally known as the Black Creek Falls) is a 250-acre public park located in Gadsden, Alabama, United States. The main feature of the park is a 90-foot waterfall with a trail winding through Black Creek Gorge at its base past caves, an aboriginal fort, an abandoned dam, pioneer homestead, and Civil War carvings.

JP and I went to the "famous" Noccalula Falls today. I think they're supposed to be pretty spectacular, but in the heat and humidity and lack-of-rain season, we saw a trickle of water. The story of this place is that Noccalula committed suicide by falling into the falls...or something...?
All I kept asking myself was "Why are her feet so ridiculously big?!"
I just hope the rest of this town makes my camera happy ;)
On Black Creek, Gadsden, Alabama, this 90 foot falls is named after a supposed Indian legend about an Indian Princess, Noccalula, who threw herself into the gorge because she was being forced by her father to marry a chief from another tribe instead of her true love.
