...then jump!! La Princessa Noccalula, not to be confused with La Princessa..Pinky! It was just a foggy dreary day all day.

My response to Brian's upload today LOL:

Yep it was cold this day, probably near freezing. And yes I was only wearing a t-shirt. But I was not the one in shorts but wearing gloves hahaha. Guess who Kami !?

Spectacular view of Noccalula Falls in Gadsden, AL; about 45 minutes North of Birmingham, Alabama.

Tangled in the web of packing. Hope to be back to commenting better real soon. Just had to get my flickr fix by posting something. Diggin the archives.

She walked right in front of my shot... hmm, thank you.

A tender moment with the 2 girls. Brookelyn always seems to be looking elsewhere other than the camera - a true model to be !

Noccalula Falls. Alabama

Looking downstream at Noccalula Falls at sunset, the water is soo low. I have posted this shot several other times at different seasons so why not post a summer shot. I just like the way the sky reflected on the water all the way down the stream. Just humor me people, it is hot and hard to find something to shoot.

Not a great shot, but interesting non the less

Noccalula Falls Park (originally known as the Black Creek Falls) is a 250-acre public park located in Gadsden, Alabama, United States. The main feature of the park is a 90-foot waterfall with a trail winding through Black Creek Gorge at its base past caves, an aboriginal fort, an abandoned dam, pioneer homestead, and Civil War carvings.

and the worst cloning job EVER! so, please, for both our sakes, do NOT view large! :-)

I have never seen a lady bug that wasn't red. maybe this isn't a lady bug?

JP and I went to the "famous" Noccalula Falls today. I think they're supposed to be pretty spectacular, but in the heat and humidity and lack-of-rain season, we saw a trickle of water. The story of this place is that Noccalula committed suicide by falling into the falls...or something...?

All I kept asking myself was "Why are her feet so ridiculously big?!"

I just hope the rest of this town makes my camera happy ;)

With all the rain we've had, I was hoping for more oomph. Google it for much more impressive pics.

On Black Creek, Gadsden, Alabama, this 90 foot falls is named after a supposed Indian legend about an Indian Princess, Noccalula, who threw herself into the gorge because she was being forced by her father to marry a chief from another tribe instead of her true love.

This picture reminds me of something I would see in a church or at my grandmothers house.

I see you waterfall peeking through the flowers.

Maybe it's easier on the neck than simply leaning her head down. Maybe she has a goatie mental deficiency? Either way we found it odd and funny and cute. She can walk perfectly normally, btw. WHO KNOWS?
