I created this vignette to celebrate 29 radical years of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Hidden in the scenes are 29 turtle allies and enemies, as featured in the comics, movies, cartoons, and toys. Can you find them all?
(Here's a hint - the Turtle Blimp counts as one of the 29).

Trichrome
Shot on Kodak Tri-X black and white film; three shots and three color filters (red, green, blue.) Combined in Photoshop.
Promotional Cameras in 110 and 35mm film format and digital (Batman).
The filter colors shown are not much like the filters I used as the process distorted their colors.

I always loved the way the prototype for the NECA TMNT looked like, which was way more detailed and had a better paint job than the final figures had. So I repainted Donatello with a darker airbrushed shade of green around every muscle and sculpted detail, plus a more detailed lining to crown that classic comic book style. As a final detail, I painted his bandana purple.. I just prefer the multi-colored bandanas for my ninja turtles!

Thank you for any group invites which I'd be glad to accept. However, if I can't check the content of such groups ("This group is not available to you") I'd rather not add any of my photos. Thanks for your understanding.
Just another addition to the dio, using pieces from the pop-up pizza playset and 2007 lair, plus a load of dolls house bits!
I'd never seen a Snapping Turtle surface, certainly not with such abandonment as this turtle showed today. I thought it might be a tree trunk or perhaps some kind of rock that managed to float or even our own version of a loch monster. As often as I have seen turtles submerge, you'd think I would not be surprised to see one surface. It was the rolling that got me, I think--and how long the activity continued.
Thank you for your visit. I do hope you'll come back. (By the way, for regulars who remember the one-footed goose whose photo I posted back in June or July, I have sad news. After missing him and worrying about him for several weeks, I found out that a groundskeeper had found his body and gently and respectfully buried him. )
UPDATE: I learned today that it was the domesticated Muscovy Duck and NOT the one-footed Canada Goose whose remains were found. It is probable, though, that some predator has killed the Goose. I have not seen it for a couple of months.)
