" - OK, 122... 122 1/8? 122 1/8. Terrific. Where the heck is 122 1/8?

- You're standing on it, Dude! Just pass it down here! "

A scene from the 1990 live action movie Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. I watched this movie countless times as a kid, and it remains one of my all-time favourite movies. For what you would think was a kids-movie, it's actually pretty dark, but it also has a good dose of humor.

Not visible in the photo is the sewer grate through which the pizza gets exchanged for a $10 bill. I tried to pose the turtles so that Michelangelo would hold the money through the grate, but I couldn't find a way to make it work, so I left them sitting like they're doing while they wait for the pizza guy.

I built this scene for a contest in my LUG where we were tasked to build a set of scenes from a movie or TV series. Yes, that means I have a couple more scenes from this movie to show ;)

"- Raph! You're awake! How do you feel?

- What's a guy gotta do... to get some food around here? "

In this scene Leonardo has been sitting for a long time watching over Raphael who is still knocked out, when he suddenly wakes up and asks for food. I always thought it looked really uncomfortable to be lying face down in that bathtub, but I guess turtles like to be in water when they're unconscious? My build is perhaps a bit more shiny pink than the more old run-down look of the bathroom in the movie, but what can you do when you don't have any sand red...

This is the fourth scene that I wanted to build for a contest in my LUG where we were tasked to build a set of scenes from a movie or TV series, but I didn't actually have this one built in time, and I only finished it this weekend. Ooopsie! But here it is!

Joshua seems quite interested in my Mikey figure.

I think a Ninja turtle covers the theme .....

I've been on a Ninja Turtles fix during these past few months ever since the Shredder's Revenge was released. This one is a great way to satisfy that nostalgia brought on by those retro games 20 years ago as it is a huge compilation of the classic Sega Genesis, NES and SNES game titles.

Bayonetta 3

The third installment to the shape shifting-witch trilogy. I've been hearing rumors that this has the worst story among the series; yet, despite what critics say, this is definitely a title that I've been looking forward to since completing its Nintendo Switch predecessor.

Found this cute painted rock, while we were walking at Pickerel Lake.

Shredder rides around in a drill tank with a Rhino and a Warthog and we still considered him a ninja.

This past weekend I took a stab at the Foot Clan's main mode of transportation.

The wheel assemblies here aren't accurate to the tank treads from the TV show, but they do actually allow this model to roll.

Besides Lego I also love Mega Bloks figures) So I decided to post one of my favorite Mega Bloks figure - my favorite Ninja Turtle - Raphael 🐢💚

4th November 2019:

They promised us sunshine again today and I was so looking forward to it. I'd already planned which walk I'd take.

Simple, I didn't take my walk and we didn't have sunshine. It's been horribly cold, but we didn't have any rain, if that's an consolation!

So I got the tough guys out of The Teddy B Box and they helped with my POTD. They enjoyed a bit of air before I put them back safely.

Watching a really interesting programme on TV, back later, or tomorrow.

I'm a pretty loyal LEGO customer, but sometimes the other block brands get a license I can't ignore. And TMNT is one of those. So of course I had to have Mega Bloks' giant Krang set. He's the perfect size to terrorize Hobbesville.

"- Oh, a fellow chucker, eh? "

In this scene the Foot ninjas attack the turtles while in April's apartment. Rafael is on the roof and gets attacked alone first, then thrown unconscious trough the glass roof. Michelangelo then engages in a nunchaku show-off battle with what he calls a "fellow chucker" from the Foot, but is not impressed, before they all engage in an all-out brawl. It's a pretty messy scene, so obviously, so is this build...

A screencap of a screensaver included on the PC disc included with the action figures.

My first attempt at the Party Wagon was about five years ago, and it was showing its age. LEGO introduced some new parts (and some old parts in new colors) since then. So, I decided to have another go at the Turtles' primary mode of transport.

I tried to recreate the old toy as best I could, even including the rear engine (just a sticker on the original toy).

I couldn't get the seat on the Foot Tenderizer to work as well as I wanted it to and still be able to hold all four turtles when it was closed up, so for now that element is just a rack with some spare ninja gear. I'll probably revisit that later.
