As part of the nine patch sew along craze, I was inspired to make a cute simple nine-patch quilt too! Here are pics of nine-patch quilts that I'm trying to emulate. I'm using my stash of gingham prints with white muslin to create a quilt something like these quilts with a plain white block between the nine patches. I love gingham so much and I think it'll turn out really cute! I have lots of ginham in different check sizes and materials so it'll be interesting.

This is a replica 9 doll I made for a friend. It mostly came out the way I wanted except for the hands are too large. The zipper works and you can hide things inside the body. It also has a floral wire skeleton so he is posable.

Hi everyone!
Last photo of my project The Numbers, went out after sport looking for completing my project but it is really hard to find something that repeats nine times, so, as last resource I decided to do a multi-me shot, so here it is. I have to say that the police was very close, watching what I was doing till I explained and then the officer told me "aaaaaah, okay! then have fun!" and he went away... I think he was close just because the embassy of the Unites States is aside the Brandenburg gate...

Nine meticulously crafted koi carp made from ginkgo leaves and sustainable plant materials are a highlight of the 2026 Orchid Festival at Kew Gardens. Located in the Princess of Wales Conservatory from 7 February to 8 March, these sculptures symbolize luck and success within a China-themed display.
For 14 days, Paramahamsa Vishwananda led 70 of His Shree Peetha Nilaya residents on a pilgrimage through South India. The group travelled to nine cities to explore the roots of our Sri Sampradaya and some of the history of Lord Rama on His trek to rescue His beloved Sita. The group enjoyed more than 30 temples, many of which are Divya Desams: the 108 Vishnu temples that are mentioned in the poetic works of the Tamil Alvars (saints).
As always, traveling with the Master includes delights and surprises along the way. This time, the group was blessed to encounter three saints and enjoy the hospitality of several other gurus and acharyas. A highlight of the trip was a ritual bath in Adhi Setu (the ocean near Rameswara) and the blessing of being bathed by the sacred waters of 22 sacred tirthams (ponds) to absolve all sins. The group also enjoyed a swim in the sea where Lord Rama’s monkey army built the floating bridge to Lanka.

Mélisande* asked me the location of the map a while back. Yesterday, I put the bayou name into google maps and then did some pattern recognition on the meanders. This is the neighborhood around Grand Chenier, not far from the Gulf coast. And then it occurred to me why there were so many surplus maps of this area. *sigh*
There was no help for it but to put on one of my favorite Mireille Mathieu songs, À Bleu Bayou, while I folded and to sing along loudly to allay my melancholy. Not that I don't prefer the Orbison version, but Mireille's is more pathetic.
