I spent nine weeks in all on loan to Caledonia depot in Glasgow for service work towards the end of 2016, a contrast to the Subway replacement service I helped out with in the latter two weeks on that. A great experience, a very enjoyable time spent with a very different operation entirely to Aberdeen's. And nine weeks was long enough to learn that a B7TL is a great bus to drive!

Picked up this little watering can garden ornament while shopping at Wegman's this morning. Stu helped me hang it on the arbor.
Police in Bury have arrested nine people following drugs warrants in the east area of the town this morning (13/6/12).
Dozens of officers were involved in the raids, including specialist officers from GMP’s tactical aid and dogs units, as well as divisional and neighbourhood officers.
The raids were watched by several members of the community and councillors, who were invited along so they could witness first-hand how police are putting a stop to drugs activity in their neighbourhood.
Drugs workers were also available throughout the day to offer services to any prisoners that currently use drugs and who may want help to stop.
The warrants were carried out following months of intelligence gathering, after officers received reports of drug dealing in and around the Manchester Road Park area.
Chief Superintendent Jon Rush, divisional commander at Bury said: “Today’s arrests are just the start of a new ongoing operation to tackle the sale and supply of drugs across our borough.
“Drugs are a major driving force behind many other crimes such as burglary, robbery and vehicle crime, and that is why cracking down on those involved in this industry is a big priority for police in Bury.
"Today’s strikes have taken weeks of planning and will have caused significant disruption to the users and suppliers of illegal drugs in Bury.
With the public’s help, this work will continue.
“Let today be a warning to anyone involved in drug dealing in Bury that not only will you end up behind bars, but through Proceeds of Crime Act legislation, you will also end up out of pocket."

This is my second pair of heels - very comfortable, and much easier to walk on than the 4 inch heels.

Most of the Ninepipe National Wildlife Refuge is a reservoir so the exposed land area is only 390 acres in a narrow band around the reservoir, 4,027 acres with the water. Ninepipe is a prime nesting habitat for numerous bird species such as the grebe, Canada geese, bittern, great blue heron and various species of ducks. Nesting platforms for ospreys at one end of the lake provide added habitat for this predatory species. Muskrat, badgers and porcupines live within the refuge, and grizzly bears have been known to venture out of the Mission Range mountains onto the refuge.

Tuesday night, I told you about the tornado sirens sounding three different times. We lucked out since none of them touched down. Fifteen miles away and area was dumped on by nine inches of rain in four hours. Yesterday a friend and I took a drive to see the damage. Some farmers have had a whole year wiped out. They will be filing claims with the Federal Crop Insurance program but can only recoup their expenses. Thank heavens that last year they had a bumper crop with fantastic prices. Farming is always a gamble but this early summer they were dealt a "bust" hand.
Today has been long, tiresome, and painful. Cleaning out garages is hard work. Hard. So this suitcase is full of pictures and slides, most that my Grandfather took. I wish I knew more about him or that I had got to meet him. It would have been kind of cool.
Unfortunately what little we do know about my Grandfather, is just that, a little. We have found conflicting names within everything we have, where his middle name is different from his military papers to when he married my Grandmother. So what we do have is a lot of photos though. I really want to put a darkroom together and develop them and also get a slide reader and put them to digital. I've been looking through his slides and a lot of them are goregous photos. I really want to see them big though.
