After walking along the beach, this was the final view I saw before leaving Southwold.
It was looking very impressive, with hay bales, a field and some big clouds about - a perfect combination.
A Border Collie Makes an impressive catch as part of a display put on by the Lowestoft Dog Agility Group.
There's a definite green theme to my uploads today....
...I decided to take a trip into the country on a sunny day recently. I did plenty of walking along country lanes & through fields of crops. All the rain we have had recently has really made the plants & crops vibrant. This was taken in a field of Barley (I think it was Barley anyway) I walked through with Mac. I like the contrast between his black & white coat & the green surrounding him.
A fisherman shelters behind a colourful tent as he waits for the next big bite.
I liked the colour contrast between the tent & the sea here.
don't you just love the shine of freshly washed hair? i had just finished blow-drying my hair and after tying it up, i realised how especially shiny my hair is today, so i grabbed my camera (always nearby!).
my hair is sometimes quite oily after just 24hrs. i am envious of those who don't have to wash their hair for many days.
anyway, it is such a nice feeling to have clean hair, and it makes me happy to see the *shine*!
A rather grand looking residence with impressive grounds to boot.
I visited Sotterley Hall recently to go on a Snowdrop walk. Before embarking on the walk though I got a shot of hall itself.
The end of the Carnival Fayre bought a real treat. There was a dog agility display.
Here is one of the performers in the middle of an impressive manoeuvre.
After seeing the sunrise, I walked back along the beach and came across LT 998, bathing in the early morning sunshine.
I made sure to get a few shots of this, as I thought the red of the boat looked particularly good in the golden hour.
i had a bit of fun changing background colours here....
this is a jonquil flower in my front yard. i took the photo after we had a frost.
Another shot from inside Kings College Chapel. This one is a close up of the previous one showing the glass & light even more vividly.
A couple of people have asked if there was a little HDR going on here. I can honestly say this is all au naturale. I was just very lucky with the light while I was in the chapel.
The Lifeboat recently made an appearence off Pakefield Beach - but not for any sea related emergency.
A local Sailor had recently passed away and at his funeral a collection for the Lifeboat was held. Over £1,000 was raised & the presentation of the cheque was made on Pakefield beach. The Lifeboat came to watch the handover.
Mac had a reunion on the beach the other day. He bumped into his old gang - a group of dogs living nearby who all happned to be on the beach at the same time.
Getting them all to stay still is nearly impossible. The only way is to tempt them with a tennis ball as they are all ball crazy.
Here is the gang waiting patiently. From left to right it's Molly, Socks & Mac. The original beach gang line up can be seen here
From the previous shot you might notice one member of the gang is missing from this lineup........
A shot at the river at Reedham. There is a small type ferry there which takes you from one side of the river to the other where a pub is waiting....
I had another early start on the beach recently with the hope of catching a sunrise.
There wasnt much sign of the sun here though. Things were looking murrky and misty. It was quite atmospheric though as you can see here.
This tree was just past the Queens Head Inn. I was driving past, but just had to pull over to get some shots of this. It was definitely too good to miss.
