A Barn Owl which was part of a bird of prey display @ Weston. When I took this photo of the Owl, it was one of the rare times it was quiet. For the rest of the time I was there it was squawking & generally making an awful lot of noise. I am glad it quietened down briefly to pose for a photo.
Sam poses for another photo, this time in profile.
This shot made it to Explore on 26/09/2015 - Thanks for looking everyone.

More screw based efforts in 'The Studio'. This time I decided to stand a few of them up, to give another kind of perspective.
I went down to Laguna Seca late last month to check out the Speed Ventures track day and Radical Sports car and EXR races. I took a bunch of photos digitally (to be posted shortly), but also brought along a new-to-me old film SLR; a Nikon F-801s. I thought this was supposed to AF with all of my Nikkor lenses, but it wouldn't work for me; so pardon some missed-focus shots; I had to do it manually. If R1 is in the image name, it was taken on Agfa Photo Vista 200; R2 was Ektar 100. Taken with one of the following lenses:
Nikon 24mm f/1.8G
Nikon 50mm f/1.8D
Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8 VR II
Nikon 300mm f/2.8 VR I
Most of these could be improved in Lightroom or whatever, and I may do that eventually, but I'm posting these raw scans as-is, because that was the point of shooting the film for me, and I'm spending plenty of time in LR for the digital photos anyway. ^_^
Another shot from Pakefield beach, but this time it had a twist - I was using a different camera to normal!
Up until now every shot on my Flickr stream has been taken with my trusty D90. This one however was taken with a D7000.
A friend had let me have a go on it and this was one of the shots I got - I must say I was quite impressed. I did however feel a little guilty thinking of the D90 left at home having no idea I was out and about with another camera.
As I came off the beach, this was the scene that greeted me. The sun was just going down & it was creating some striking silhouettes.
The ones in question here were the Millenium beacon, Pakefield church and the local water tower.
An afternoon on Lowestoft beach, enjoying the fine weather.
If you look carefully on this shot, you can see there is writing in the sand....

Some striking Pampas Grass growing on the beach.
There is quite a bit of this Pampas Grass on the beach near me & I have got photos of it before:
