All the wild weather recently has led to some of the beach huts being damaged. This group were largely intact, but they had been thrown noticibly out of position.
Covehithe Church has to be one of my favourite structures in the area. I have photographed the old church many times.
I thought this deserved to be put on Flickr though, as in this shot I have managed to avoid getting a large shadow on the tower. I always seemed to get this previously. I think this is beacuse most of my other shots of the church were taken in the late autumn / winter when the sun was that much lower.
Some of my previous attempts at capturing the church can be seen here:

I took a trip to Aldeburgh & I was struck by this house which was opposite the place I parked. It took a few goes to capture it the way I wanted though. That was mainly as I had to make sure I didn't get the car or the wheelie bins that were in the front garden in the shot.
My final shot of the photo class was one of a colourful bar at dusk.
The bar is called Iconic and is very eye catching at night with it's lights which are often different colours.
I got a photo of Iconic after dark in back in the winter of 2011:

Another slow shutter shot taken just after the previous one. The waves are withdrawing here & leaving a trail with the slow shutter speed.
Mac is a big fan of almonds & whenever any are around he pays close attention to see if one might come his way.
Here he is poised to pounce on any almonds heading in his direction. When you throw one to him, the way he snatches it out of the air is very impressive.
A couple of weeks ago some heavy winds hit the coast. Although they weren't quite as bad as forecast they certainly produced some dramatic scenes.
This one I got near the shore as the clouds built up....
This young Gull was hanging around the seafront. The Gulls in Aldeburgh can be quite pushy over getting food from people, especially chips. This youngster seemed to be in the early stages of perfecting that particular talent.

Another dull day outside meant it was time for some more indoor photography. Todays subjects were a handful of colouring pencils.
At this rate I am going to run out of items round the house to shoot!

A rather large looking cog gets some attention from the D90.
This shot was set up in a special light room - an upturned crate with a sheet of paper stuck to it. No expense spared here!
Mac was with me when the cows approahced. He was most put out by their behaviour & began growling & barking at them.
Interestingly enough at the farm where we got him from, the farmer told us he would have been a cattle dog if he had remained there. I think the cattle there would have got some harsh treatment.
It was a fine day at the fair, so a spot of Ice Cream would have gone down nicely. That was on hand with this van which was having a brief lull when I got the above photo.
Looks like lots of people like ice cream as this shot made it to Explore on 24/09/2013 - thanks for looking everyone.
