Taken using Hipstamatic with the Jack London Lens and BlacKeys XF film. Saved from the trash bin using Analog Efex Pro 2 from the Nik Collection in Photoshop with the Camera 7 filter and some sliders.
I've missed taking photos everyday and I've missed working with these cute little Iwako pig erasers. So for 2018 I'm going to try to do Project 365 again. ^__^

The beach - Djúpalónssandur - is comprised solely of black, basalt shingle that gets flung at the rocks in any kind of sea. Both shingle and country rock are well rounded and polished.
Since posting I've been informed that the pebbles are known as the black lava pearls of Djúpalón and are protected by law and cannot be carried away!

The next round from current project built around this year's cherry blossom season. I've decided to tackle it in a different way, With these images, I'll publish 3 different versions. The first will be a "stock" image that will be uncropped and will only have my basic RAW processing. The second will have my color edit - sometimes, the changes will be subtle, on others it might be a dramatic difference. The third iteration will show my B&W edit. I'm not going to share my (sometimes involved) workflow on these images - but all were shot with my Olympus OM-D e-M1.2 with the m.Zuiko 25mm f1.2 Pro lens (usually wide open, but not exclusively).

Pulling those notes out of the guitar with fingers blurring
up and down the well worn frets,
The music flowed around us with an urgent murmuring
as the crowd swayed with the sets.
Those high notes sang clear

#project365 [day 50] Cloudy night in North Greenwich
At the end of a grey dull day walking around London, the view of the North Greenwich peninsula all lit up made for an interesting picture. The O2 Arena has a special lighting scheme during the World Rugby Championship taking place around England. Using blue and white spotlights that move around, instead of the usual white flood lights, these add some interesting color reflections on the Thames.

While similar to a shot I posted a few days ago, this one is missing the bird, but has a more intriguing cloud pattern.
Taken at Bronte Beach Park in Oakville Ontario while I was waiting for the rise of the SuperMoon. Unfortunately, all the clouds that are so beautiful in this shot obscured the moon from view.
Pentax K-S2 with SMC Pentax Macro 1:4/100; lightbox; processed in Smart Photo Editor, the Nik Collection's Viveza 2 and Dfine 2, Lightroom 4 and Photoshop Elements 13. Butterflies were dead when I got them.
