Seen During Manyara Ranch Conservancy's night game drive.
First let me stress that Manyara Ranch has the best night game drives in Tanzania. Period. But you have to make sure to communicate with the manager if you have any special requests, and you have to let them know you want to cross the river if you want to see aardvarks and aardwolves. We had another couple who were on their honeymoon, and probably could care less if they saw either of those, but we still managed to see some interesting things like this male lesser kudu which we didn't see during the day.
iPhone photo taken with VSCOcam and PP with Snapseed, FX Photo Studio and iPhoto.
Photo was taken while driving through a snow storm. The light was amazing. In PP I used the "Explosion" preset in FX Photo Studio and Snapseed and iPhoto for the finishing touches (color, contrast, sharpening, clarity).

The rig: Sony DSLR-A700 w/Sony SAL-1118 11-18mm f/4.5-5.6 DT Lens and Minolta RC-1000L remote control cord. The VG-C70AM Vertical Grip was used to provide plenty of power. Camera set to Aperture Priority mode, lens set to f/5.6, lens zoomed to approx. 15mm, manually focused to infinity and camera set to Continuous Bracketing ±2/3 EV increment/5 shots, auto white balance and ISO 1250. Due to the ever changing view and pin-point light sources involved, multi-segment metering mode was employed. Images saved as RAW. Camera attached to a Manfrotto Magic Arm attached to a Manfrotto Super Clamp attached to the passenger seat headrest bracket. The Nissan Frontier King Cab gave the extra room for the rig to be slightly behind me giving a wide view and occasionally catching myself in the shot.
Shots taken by simply pressing the remote release sitting in my lap as I drove…

My newly aquired MX-5 (Eunos/Miata) which came with a lovely aged patina and loads of dirt.
A healthy drop on some coilovers and a Garage Vary front splitter was all it took to give it some attitude.
Not bad for £375!

Cleaned the windshield, brought the good tripod, and set it up in the backseat. Much more satisfying results than what I got last night.
Straight out of the camera.
