I admit, I didn't take this one, but I wanted to share it with flickr..Jeanne and I took a Jetboat ride at Niagara Falls on our 20th wedding anniversary trip...What is rush!
Judging by the bomber jacket I am wearing, I'd guess 1976 or 1977. We were likely in St. Catharines, visiting our grandparents.
Completed in 1906 in the Beaux-Arts style this station along the Niagara River was built to supply power to Toronto. It was decommissioned in 1974 and designated a National Historic Site in 1983. The architect was EJ Lennox.

It was cloudy and rainy the entire time we were at the Falls. I had to up the contrast of this photo to get anything usable but the colors are as they came from the camera.
I will be away from my computer tomorrow for an out-of-town funeral.

The Cave of the Winds tour takes visitors to the base of the American and Bridal Veil falls (shown), and up a series of platforms that gradually take you to the water's edge. Front edge, that is.
