Keith and I are proposing some drastic changes for the upcoming year.
He is giving up meat.
We are going to join The Compact and not buy anything new in 2007 (except food, underwear, shampoo, you know).
We're selling our car.
We're planning for a trip to Alaska with all the money we will save. (Well, a trip somewhere. Looks like there is already a waiting list for this trip.)
One of my New Year's Resolutions was to filter decisions based on whether they will just make me happy now or make me happy in the long run. A major contributor to the need for such a resolution is pictured above.
After a long day of work my weakness is something quick and yummy to eat and that almost ALWAYS equals chips and salsa. And they ALWAYS make me happy. Right now. But probably all those chips won't make me happy in the long run. Maybe if I have to shoot them every time I succumb to their quick and easy tastiness, I will choose something else more often.
And, No. I do not usually treat myself to a decorative sprig of cilantro. Maybe I missed my calling as a food dresser?
