For FGR - New Years Resolutions
One of many resolutions, but one that I intend to keep. I've managed to lose about 20lbs (9kg) in the last 6 months, the majority of which is due to the fact that I've been walking 5 miles a day and then going out with the Hiking Club every other weekend for the last 3 months. Looking forward to dropping another kilo or two before my birthday in March, after that it's all about fitness.
Sharing my new years resolution - to find all that is magical in life because it too easily gets lost along the way.

Day 62 of 365: "Resolución Número Uno"
I've stayed true to my commitment to fitness in 2011 and I'm starting to see results. What you see is a quick summation of a 6 week routine. It does not include any exercise that I got, outside of the program.
Why did I name it in Spanish? Because I felt like it!
Feeling good, Louis.

Tonight, with about 20 minutes left until 2025, I was taking out the trash and decided to make a quick trip. I’ve never photographed the fireworks over The Electric Tower in Buffalo, NY, and now that we live so close to downtown, I had no excuses.
Happy New Year, everyone! May you achieve everything you resolve to in this next trip around the yellow marble.
week of classic portrait, self-portrait of course, started today :)

This whole 365 project may be harder than I thought. With being here at OBU 5 days a week, I'm gonna run out of things to photograph, but bring it on!

One of my New Year's Resolutions was to filter decisions based on whether they will just make me happy now or make me happy in the long run. A major contributor to the need for such a resolution is pictured above.
After a long day of work my weakness is something quick and yummy to eat and that almost ALWAYS equals chips and salsa. And they ALWAYS make me happy. Right now. But probably all those chips won't make me happy in the long run. Maybe if I have to shoot them every time I succumb to their quick and easy tastiness, I will choose something else more often.
And, No. I do not usually treat myself to a decorative sprig of cilantro. Maybe I missed my calling as a food dresser?

Day 9~
Reflecting on the incredible PATIENCE needed to spin wool. I am taking a class to learn all about the topic and last night we made our own hand spindles, carded some wool and tried our hand at spinning yarn.
My only New Year's Resolution was "to throw more things away." So far, I'm doing all right. This is the crap I cleaned out of my backpack. Note "purple" sandals on the left. Those are my house shoes. Pieces of them occastionally fall off and stay stuck to my feet. I've had them since I was a freshman in college, and I just can't get rid of the darn (scary ass) things.
