Fashion forward.

Another goal for the year. I want to shoot more fashion this year. I love shooting music and always will, but it's time to break away from it for a bit. I'm sure I'll continue to shoot bands quite a bit, but I want to shoot way more fashion now. I want to build up a legit portfolio 'cause that is exactly where I started from.

Tunage: Teenage Dream - Katy Perry

Now Katy Perry is one person I want to photograph more than anyone else!

I had to buy the book because the public library closed for restorations. (All summer through…*sob*) I started going to libraries when my bookshelf exploded.. I am too attached to things, books in particular. I thought I have to “possess” books, have them always with me. I understood that this is just a distorted way of trying to impress and so I am trying to read without possess. This is the theory so far, but this time I had to buy a book – it’s higher force! :-)

This is why I would like to make this experiment: I will trade! Mrs. Dalloway in Italian (only half-read; second half) for any other book (considered literature) in English, German or Italian. Contact me!

I have all my findings, wire, chain, and miscellany in my card catalog. So handy!

My word of 2010 is NOW. As in "do it now," plus a reminder to be present in the current moment.

Day off. Quite manic. Walked Moose to Fitwit and ate breakfast at Bread & butterfly after. Hike at Sweetwater with Lindsay. Painted the kitchen. Throw pottery class at Clayworks for my NY resolution.

we made a little entry over at him + her about our new year's resolutions: himandherweekly.blogspot.com/2010/01/no-12-new-years-reso...

Oh how I love this bar. Barri, Blaney, Holly, Erica and I headed here after happy hour and grabbed food from Xi-an Famous Foods on the way. Our server was friendly and helpful and very tolerant of our silliness and ridiculous levels of enthusiasm for everything, the booze was well-priced, they had a tacky shot menu that included lots of lifestyle liquors and it wasn't too crowded. The jukebox left a little bit to be desired, but all in all it was super. Oh, and when we came in, the big TV was showing one of the Resident Evil movies. I'll be planning another visit in the near future.

Decorative pages and, to the left, a pocket for check-in cards related to my goals in this area.

To the right, the "coloring outside the box" text was one of my first shots at using sumi ink for writing, and I'm quite hapy with the results.

I hardly ever set New Year's resolutions, but this year there are a few things I would like to achieve and change. To start with, I need to start exercising. I don't do anything but sit in front of my computer anymore. I need to start eating better, I eat way too much junk. I need to drink less soda and more water.

Also this is the picture for day 081. Another resolution, I need to catch up on, and start keeping up with the projects I start :/

Project 365 Day 8: My second New Year's Resolution (the first being this project) is to study Turkish more.

Every year as the holidays approach, Kevin Vennesland takes stock of his life. In 2010, he decided he wanted to take on more project leadership responsibilities at work—he loved the idea of seeing projects through to successful completion.

After some research, he decided that education would give him both the skills and credibility he needed to lead—and a recommendation from a co-worker, along with a thorough analysis of competing programs, helped him determine that SFU Continuing Studies' Diploma in Applied Project Management was his best option.

My New Year's Resolution - sharpening up my skills

New Year's Resolution: starting to read again, and take Tempest's challenge

Shana is from Malaysia and came here to attend a nearby University. When I first met her at church, she looked 12, but was 18. Now, she's married and 22. I don't know her very well, but I am her helper as she teaches 2 year old's on Wednesday nights. Such a lovely young woman (even with a mustache)!

Last night I watched a documentary about a very 'large' woman in America (I forget her name), while chomping my way through homemade gingerbread men and christmas chocolates. Tonight I stepped on the scales...its not good!!! (and I've still got so many more 'treats' to get through!!!) still, I'm determined to remain positive...onwards and upwards as they say!!

...to communicate with my family and friends as often as I can.
