My wife and I are expecting a child somewhere around the end of July! Yay! So far, so good. We are super excited. Looking forward to rocking out with this young 'un. Unexpected bonus side effect: I already find myself developing a more forgiving attitude toward my own parents!

So, i begin our new project - 12 months for dogs :)
For those in the group that don't know us, i'm Louise and this is my boy Tyler. He's a Lurcher type. Mum was a Lab x Saluki and dad was a purebred Whippet. You really can't see any Saluki in him but he does have a very Saluki temperament and Saluki people have told me he's quite typical of a Saluki. He's aloof, very laid back, very quiet ( has never once barked at the front door for example ) and we share a very special bond. Out on walks he's pretty independent but can be trusted off lead although he's not got a 100% recall and he ranges pretty far ahead of me. But he does come back when you call him, just at his own pace ;)
I believe he is my heart dog.

Got a bit obsessed with natural fabricdye lately. Preparing skin tone for the next doll. This shade is so beautiful, but of course it was not rinsed yet, so it will be much lighter. I'm keeping it in for a long time to achieve a darker color, or maybe I will do the process twice.
This time mixing 1 capsule of espresso, 3 tbs cocoa, 1 tbs tester's choice decaffe, lots of salt (didn't measure really). I will take more pictures after its dry…
I decided to do an individual project excluding all my uni work. I want to capture this year of just how my appearance changes, my surroundings and my photography. I'm only taking one photo a month and it's not going to be at all intense. Just a personal diary of life.

I met up with my wonderful creative friends last night for a stitch 'n bitch and potluck. Great company, yummy food and projects abounded.
I'm hoping to use this lovely cotton-silk blend yarn to make a sweater. Last night was more practice on getting the gauge right and remembering things I haven't done in a very long time. This is my eventual goal:
