So, for the past couple of weeks I have been inspired by so many people's 365 project on Flickr, I just felt the need to start my own, and see where my imagination takes me. This is not an easy challenge for me, since I really want to get out of my comfort zone, and try new techniques. I hope I get to experience the same sense of community that I've seen on this site, but most importantly, I hope to finish and maybe see some improvement. It is almost 3am, and I've spent quite sometime retouching this image in photoshop to the best of my abilities. I really hope to shorten the time I spend in photoshop.

I guess this image represents the beginning for me in different ways. It's the beginning of a new project, a new year, and a new flickr account ha!

I got my inspiration from the first book of the Bible, and the first thing God created.

Une nouvelle ɑnnée ɑvec de nouveɑux projets et objectifs. Une ɑnnée ou l'IA serɑ mon ɑlié pour les photos de SL.

Un défis ɑ̀ relevé.

EN ; A new yeɑr with new projects ɑnd goɑls. A yeɑr where AI will be my ɑlly for SL photos.

A chɑllenge to tɑke up.

I was looking for some inspiration today for a project I've been thinking of, feeling that b/c "it's been done before" that I shouldn't do it. Then I read a response from Stephen Shore in the latest copy of GUP magazine when he was asked: "Now that everyone has a camera, how can a photographer stand out from the crowd?"

He responded with: "...everyone in the Western world is a writer. Everyone has learned to write, everyone writes everyday. People have blogs and Twitter accounts, people write comments on newspaper articles or on other people's blog, or they write comments on other people's comments. So, in a way, everyone is a writer and yet there are still people who write commentary that seems more profound and significant than the crank comments on a newspaper article. There are still poets. There are still novelists. The fact that everyone has a voice doesn't diminish the work of the people who have something more to say."

I'm not one of those people, but I can't help but try ...

Un piccolo grilletto verde sulla mia finestra, mi da l'input per iniziare un progetto fotografico al quale pensavo da un bel pò.

Spero di trovare tutto il tempo che mi occorre...

Photograph from my new project.

It's completely different from anything I've done so far. But it had to be that way. Working on these photographs woke me from a kind of deep sleep and aroused in me the desire to create again... after years of stagnation.

Have a look, please.

"Certe cose sono difficili da descrivere. Quando ti succede qualcosa e vuoi annotarlo, o lo rendi troppo drammatico o lo alleggerisci troppo, esagerando i particolari sbagliati e tralasciando quelli importanti. E comunque non lo scrivi quasi mai come vorresti. Io voglio semplicemente mettere sulla carta quello che mi è capitato..."

dear friends!! the november wind is shaking the windows. the november chill is seeking to enter my house... these are days and nights for pots of tea, beloved books, and journeys of the soul....

one night a few years ago, i dreamed of a book that was hidden in a room, the designs of its cover merging with the patterned fabric of the chair that it rested on... i opened the book. images and words appeared on the pages, flowed across, merged, and disappeared into a flux of symbols. a beloved dream, a beloved book!! during these november days and nights, i am exploring the possibilities of the adobe flash program to bring something of this book into the world...

let us welcome the changing month and the gifts that it offers...
