There is a place I run where there is a tunnel of trees and in bright sunshine and breezy weather the patterns that are cast on the ground are utterly mesmerising (the endorphins from running probably help with that)!
Following on from my light and leaves series I have been pondering light in a different way and how to use it to show the shape rather than the colour of leaves. A shadow almost makes an imprint of the shape of leaves in strong sunshine and this is what I want to explore.
These are simply experiments to begin the exploration of this theme and as such are most definitely works in progress. I am looking forward to where this theme will take me and I just hope the sun shines enough to allow me the chance to get down to it. This morning started off bright and calm but soon it clouded over and the wind got up, those conditions meant I couldn't pursue what I had in mind. But clipped wings can definitely fill you with enthusiasm for the next time the sun comes out.
okay so basically here are most of the words you guys used to describe yourselves.
so basically this project was one i was just going to do it on my own take a photo to portray the way someone described themself, in my own way.
however, i've been thinking recently and i think it'd be a cool massive project.
so i was thinking, i'd set up a group and every week choose a new word and everyone would have the week to take a photo that they felt portrayed that word, so then we'd have different peoples interpretations of the word and stuff, and we'd all post it on the same day so then we can see all the different ideas and maybe the similarities between peoples thoughts and interpretations. I don't want to do this and have no one wanting too so basically it's up to you guys, if you want to do it, comment and all. I was thinking we could do collaborations too so it'd be a bit more fun!

this mornings sunrise was beautiful. pond is half frozen. I am sure by tomorrow morning it will be fully thawed again. the temps made it up to 53 degrees ... unbelievably warm for early january in michigan.
so glad I had a little visit with my pal Ken this morning. he talked me into a new photo project to keep me clickin. my 4 hens project. 1 photo a week. this weeks theme is resolutions. keepin it simple. perfect start for my project.
