A man arrives at Michigan Central Station in Detroit on a Onewheel, the landmark building reopened in 2024 following a six-year renovation by Ford Motor Company. The site, across from Newlab, hosted the inaugural Automotive Semiconductor Forum, organized by the mstar initiative, on Thursday, September 18, 2025.
The inaugural Automotive Semiconductor Forum, hosted by the mstar (Michigan Semiconductor Talent and Technology for Automotive Research) initiative, featured keynote talks from the University of Michigan College of Engineering, General Motors, imec, KLA, Torc Robotics, and MEMRYX, along with Washtenaw Community College, highlighting how semiconductors, artificial intelligence, and new materials are shaping the future of mobility.
