This picture of one of Lothian’s new Alexander Dennis Enviro 400XLB vehicles was taken at the Bus 2020 launch on George Street on 03 Feb 2019. No details of which routes would be served by the new buses was available that day but it was announced on 14 Feb 2019 that the new fleet would operate services 11 and 16 from early March 2019.

Spotted ES1 being brought out of the shed to type train some instructors and mentor drivers as I was getting into my car. I imagine it will be out and about along the 307 today.

London General route 507: Victoria, Bus Station - Waterloo Station
Departed Waterloo Station / York Road (V), towards Waterloo (RA)
I believe Go-Ahead London are the first operator to have purchased the Build Your Dreams Electric Bus. Two prototypes, EB1 (LC63 CYA) and EB2 (LC63 CXY), allocate themselves to former Red Arrow routes 507 and 521 respectively. Worldwide, these buses are the first of their kind, meeting an approximate of 80% city transport requirements.
I am yet to jump onboard London's first electric bus, however the bodywork design, especially the rear (unfortunately I could not get a photo) is a beautiful piece of art and BYD have stated that "communities around the world would love BYD's electric bus as it quietly cruises past its noisy polluting competitors". The only thing that is letting the innovative bus down is its name, which extremely lacks originality! I was very lucky to get this photo as the bus was returning to its garage for a second and last time on its first day of official service.

9079 is with Go North East for the next two weeks for demonstration to compare against the current allocation on Mercedes-Benz Citaros.
Go North East also have an Optare Versa XFE (OP07 ARE) on demonstration as well and have also previously had a Wright Streetlite Micro-Hybrid 3 on demonstration on the service 4 with a view to purchasing new buses for the service.

Go North East's 6092 (NL63 YHV), Volvo B9TL/Wright Eclipse Gemini, carrying its freshly applied "Fab Fifty Six" branding, and is pictured here at Go North East's Saltmeadows Road depot, Gateshead, posing in the early morning sunshine alongside corporate liveried B9 6099 (NL63 YJC) and silver B9 NL63XBX. 19/12/13
As part of Go North East's centenary year, they have purchased 100 brand new buses, including:
- 13x Volvo B9TL/Wright Eclipse Gemini for "TEN" service 10, based at Winlaton and Hexham.
- 11x Mercedes Citaro 0530N/Mercedes Citaro for "Connections 4" service 4, based at Washington.
- 8x Wright Streetlite DF/Wright Streetlite for "Drifter" service 60, based at Deptford.
- 8x Wright Streetlite DF/Wright Streetlite for "Saltwell Park" services 53/54, based at Gateshead.
- 14x Optare Versa V1170/Optare Versa for "Citylink" service 58, based at Gateshead.
- 12x Optare Solo SR/Optare Solo for the "Venture" network, based at Consett.
- 17x Volvo B9TL/Wright Eclipse Gemini for "Fab Fifty Six" service 56, based at Deptford.
- 17x Volvo B9TL/Wright Eclipse Gemini for "Cobalt Clipper" services 309/310, based at Percy Main.
The final order for this year is the batch of 34 Volvo B9TL/Wright Eclipse Gemini, which have been arriving into the fleet for the past two weeks.
These wheelchair and pushchair friendly high quality double decker vehicles are equipped to a high standard that feature the latest low emission engines, with facilities such as free on-board Wi-Fi, power sockets to charge electrical devices on the go and Next Stop Announcements and display screens.
This photograph summarises this year's final investment quite nicely, with all vehicles parked up alongside each other.
The orange Gemini is to be based at Deptford depot, for "Fab Fifty Six" service 56, while the red Gemini parked next to it is to be one of two fleet liveried spare vehicle for this service. The final silver vehicle in this trio is to be based at Percy Main depot, for "Cobalt Clipper" services 309/310. Similarly, it will also have two fleet liveried spares.
Ross Travel, Wright Streetlite (125 Pontefract) This bus is currently on loan from Wright Bus to test its performance on the companies services.
