Take 3 familiar objects and an over-active mind along with an old studio technique and what do you get - disappointment along with disapproval from my better half.
Nottingham NET Tram No. 235 'David Clark' powers up the sharp incline on the southern approach to the viaduct that spans Nottingham Midland Station. It is approaching the summit, where the tram stop is situated, while the descent on the northern side towards the city centre is much more gentle. These fishermen normally pull their nets from the water just b4 sunset ... everyday .. but not at the same spot. So i needed to look for them somewhere along the long beach. Finally i found them 3km away from where i had parked my car. But to my disappointment they were winding up things as I was a bit late. Here one of them is cleaning the net from finger size fishes as others were busy in sorting the stock. I got around 150 shots in 20 mins or so as the sun was in real hurry to go down and light was changing real fast with changing positions of these boys. I had to move fast too with their positions as I needed the sun right behind him in this shot. I have been posting these shots time to time and there are still some left for future uploads :)

Illinois Rail Net CF7 number 5 was returning to LaSalle from the BNSF connection at Zearing back in 2010.
Built as a Santa Fe F7, the 5 was damaged in a flood a few years later and is no longer with us.
I use these fasteners to attach the nets to the hoops to keep the critters out of my garden
ODC - 10/24/2022 - Fasteners
Though it's among the most popular sports worldwide, I've never played soccer.
Yet, when the opportunity to scrimmage with my girlfriends at the Mercedes Benz stadium in Atlanta, I did not hesitate.
Here is a photo of me leaning on the goal net pole.
Perhaps because there was no audience, or maybe because it seemed a once-in-a lifetime opportunity - I went for it.
In retrospect it seems obvious now that I naturally enjoy learning when there aren’t obstacles in my way. Same for you?
Obstacles could be anything physical of course, but for me, fear has been a huge deterrent to pursuing my heart's desires.
In this case......
Fear of failure - What if I was uncoordinated and missed a pass?
Fear of being wrong - I didn't understand the rules!
Fear of rejection - What if teammates refused to let me handle the ball?
Fear of being emotionally uncomfortable - What if strangers detected we were not women and made fun of us?
Yikes!
From this experience I realized how much fear has prevented me from doing something my heart wanted to do.
Well we stayed on the field for a long time and had fun.
Fear was neutralized for a net zero impact.
Wow - what a trip!

Don't be afraid, it's easier when you've seen someone else do it. Enjoy!
