I should have called this, "...and now for something completely different". I just liked the way that the shadows and sunlight played on the curtain.

The 2015 St Patrick's night Aurora display painted the sky green all over Ireland and here at the ruins of Dunluce Castle with one of the largest Aurora Borealis displays in 2 decades. Then it got dark... which considering it was late November is not at all surprising really, is it? I’d gone hunting for one of the Hopper Bus MMCs that had gained an orange front blind, but it disappeared and I couldn’t find it. However I did find a tram. 210 is seen between the University and QMC, bound for Hucknall on 28.11.25
NET has started retrofitting much brighter orange marker lights onto the corners of the Incentro fleet. Initially just 209 had them, but then 210 and 215 also got them, and I imagine they’ll eventually be fitted to all the Incentros.
The commission I am working on at present will consist of a second drawing. This will be a detailed cutaway drawing of one of the muiti-function buildings at the heart of the fisheries complex. These included net lofts, where fishing nets were inspected for faults and if nessecary repaired. Good light was essential for these tasks, so large skylights were often used, as well as windows in end walls. This sketch is one way I have of working out how to show these features, and the processes involved in caring for the nets. It is also we good way of focusing on the drawing currently on the drawing board as details like the fenestration can be work is into the picture. The reference picture for this was taken in the early 20th century, in Bridport, Dorset, which like Suffolk supported a large herring fleet. Pentel 0.5mm mechanical pencil in A4 sketchbook.
