Then it got dark... which considering it was late November is not at all surprising really, is it? I’d gone hunting for one of the Hopper Bus MMCs that had gained an orange front blind, but it disappeared and I couldn’t find it. However I did find a tram. 210 is seen between the University and QMC, bound for Hucknall on 28.11.25

NET has started retrofitting much brighter orange marker lights onto the corners of the Incentro fleet. Initially just 209 had them, but then 210 and 215 also got them, and I imagine they’ll eventually be fitted to all the Incentros.

The commission I am working on at present will consist of a second drawing. This will be a detailed cutaway drawing of one of the muiti-function buildings at the heart of the fisheries complex. These included net lofts, where fishing nets were inspected for faults and if nessecary repaired. Good light was essential for these tasks, so large skylights were often used, as well as windows in end walls. This sketch is one way I have of working out how to show these features, and the processes involved in caring for the nets. It is also we good way of focusing on the drawing currently on the drawing board as details like the fenestration can be work is into the picture. The reference picture for this was taken in the early 20th century, in Bridport, Dorset, which like Suffolk supported a large herring fleet. Pentel 0.5mm mechanical pencil in A4 sketchbook.

A hot air balloon is framed within a basketball hoop adjacent to the Garrison Middle School athletic fields in Walla Walla, Wash. where Walla Walla's Annual Balloon Stampede launched the "Hare and Hound" race. The "Hare and Hound" competition involves a lead balloon being given a head start and launches first while all the other balloons become the hounds and chase after it.

A "Cartwheel" penny would not fill a small box.

Incentro 205 has lost its e.on wrap in favour of Sky Broadband. I can’t tell if this is the only tram to wear this as an all-over ad or if there’s two, since I saw one without fleet numbers a couple of times and can’t tell if it was 205 missing its numbers or a different one.

Here it is seen departing Beeston Interchange for Hucknall on 1.5.25

Passing an overcrowded shop with everything displayed outside, I saw this blue net sticking out above the rest. For butterflies or little fish? Or both? LOL...

I wanted to photograph it against the sky so had to go down, and bend and crouch and kneel to get the angle I wanted.

People apparently were staring in disbelief, but when I’m composing an image, I forget about everything else!

My challenge was to photograph blue on blue, I love to use the light to bring out the gossamer forms.

It sings of sun and fun and wind and freedom and holiday, that small net high up catching the sun and the wind and the light and my eye one of my personal favourites.

Have a fun day and you, M, (*_*)

A group of ladies is seen as they are busy in repairing the nets in a workshop at Bac Lieu, Vietnam. After struggling in deep sea or wide Mekong river, the fishing groups need their damaged nets, repaired before next trip.

There are SO many awesome things to see, especially when one doesn't plan to. The excitement and the amount of extreme fascination doubles instantly without even realizing until, of course, realizing. So cool.
