We have been watching this nest for about 4weeks. this is the second time I have seen her off of the nest.
The chickadees use this soft moss to make their nests inside a tree cavity or birdhouse. I caught her resting on a branch in between gathering the moss from the ground and flying off to place it in her nest. This little lady and her babies are going to have a very cozy nest. I have some pictures of the nests that I'll try to find someday. They are really very beautiful, and look so soft and cozy:)
The great horned owls welcomed an owlet in a recycled osprey nest. The nest is conveniently at a stop light. Literally. Last year 2 owlets called this home.
A view of Winter Harbor, Mt Desert Narrows seen from the vantage point of Raven's Nest on the Schoodic Peninsula. Fog ever present on the day :) - Acadia National Park.
Two mating Great Blue Herons building their nest. Heron on left had just flew into the nest area with another branch. The mate took the branch and placed it into the nest.
(127/365) Our young Robin pair have lost their nest to predators which is very sad but they didn't choose a very secure place to nest, they'll learn from the experience. Now they are busy building a new nest in this box (surrounded by evergreen Honeysuckle) on a pergola over our patio - just 5ft from the house (photo taken through glass so apologies for the poor quality).
I've never heard of Robins using a "hole" nest box before only open fronted ones. Has anyone else seen this before? We had enlarged the Blue tit sized hole a couple of weeks ago as a pair of House Sparrows were trying to get in! Now we have our tame Robins nesting safely right next to the house, I can't wait to watch them rear their little family.

A serie Eu Possso nas fotos que tenho feito e agora no Grupo que bombou neste fim de semana, NADA TEM COM APARENCIA...
O Eu Posso é sobre NÃO SE ESCONDER.
Em Relação a Frase:
Eu Posso, Voce Pode, Nós podemos e Ele?
Ele é a Terceira pessoa do Singular

Not really a nest but the stems looked woven in this image to me and resembled a basket.
I'm guessing that this is a nest a spider makes to keep her spiderlings safe after they hatch. It appears to be a reed leaf pulled over with many silk threads to form an enclosure. It could be a trap too. Any suggestions?

Mr. Bluebird perched in the Honeysuckle near the nest. He was a good guardian and protector. Thanks so much for viewing.
White-breasted cormorant (Phalacrocorax lucidus) is sometimes considered to be a subspecies of the great cormorant. It is distinguished by it's white breast and by populations that are strictly freshwater. Found in coastal West and South Africa. San Diego Zoo. Conservation status: least concern
