Neon sign for a liquor store on Smith Street in Brooklyn. I wonder what the story is with this sign. If you go back to the September 2014 Street View it is a square 1980s style sign.

in the years i've journeyed to shoot this wonderful display of neon, not once has all the elements of this sign have
been working at the same time.
We were relieved to see that the iconic #neonsign for the Chelsea Hotel was lit again today despite being covered under scaffolding for the longest time as construction 🚧 has been underway inside the former hotel. The Chelsea Hotel was built in the 1880s and was sold to a developer in 2011 who closed the #ChelseaHotel for a major interior renovation project. The hotel’s exterior is landmarked and cannot be altered. We have so many happy memories of staying at the hotel as well as having paella at El Quijote! Let us know what are some of your favorite memories of this hotel.
