At Woodscreek Park. I never learned how to develop film, but I remember the days of negatives. I could never imagine going back to using a film camera. I so prefer digital. You can't beat it. It's cost effective and environmentally friendly.

Frozen Arkansas River in Negative

So!

I found a way to get my film WITHOUT the use of a scanner, nice huh?

Ignore the line in the middle.

When I went to get these processed, they spilt the image right in half.

Yes, sorry for the grainyness though

And when I had it in color, it looked weird, so black and white.

The random lines are from glares from the light.

This will work for now.

EE! So excited!

WALGREEN'S EXPOSURE:

www.flickr.com/photos/thecoloremily/4245908964/in/photost...

This is from a series of old negatives found in an envelope in a box of photographs at a junk store in Dewey, Oklahoma. Some seem related, others do not. Most are damaged in some way and/or poorly executed in the camera and in the dark room. Many are over- exposed.

To try to make some sense of the group, all were scanned so that obscure details might be revealed.

Exposure0.025 sec (1/40)

Aperturef/5.0

Focal Length27 mm

ISO Speed200

Various negatives. Most of them can be guessed. Or you may ask me :-)

can be a bitch, but somhow works.

frankly I just couldn't think of any thing to put as a background

Negative Effect Series

this photo is of negative space because the subject is around negative.

This month's theme focused on an eye for negative space in composition.

My Mom found an old negative, not long after my Grandfather had passed in 2005. She wondered what was on it. After I scanned it, there was no doubt-it was her Father at about age 12.

Stewart Caskie at the shop at Schoonmaker. Sausalito, California, April 26, 1985. Photo by Karla Huebner. Scanned from proof sheet; negative no longer exists. Probably Kodak Tri-X 400 ASA.

On a tired Saturday afternoon I was playing around with the negative filter on my phone plus the red curtain hanging in front of the window.

Negative image scan from image taken on my Polaroid 220 Land Camera on FujiFilm FP-3000B black and white film. Liking the negative better than the positive!
