Attempted to make a negative painting of trees; messed it up; so I cut and pasted a picture of a fish on it; and called it a day.
FINALLY! This past Fall semester, I traded in my hip waders and Ecology books for paint brushes and film canisters. I spent the semester at Indiana University South Bend as a student in their fantastic Fine Arts department. I have finally gotten my butt in gear and have managed to scan my work!
This is all work I did in my Introduction to photography class. I used my old, Pentax K1000 film camera for all of these images and developed the film and prints manually.
One of our assignments was to do negative destruction ... which is the hardest thing to commit to! The original image is of water on a windshield. I took that image and applied a mixture of craft glue and water to the negative to create a 3-D effect.

A skill that has long passed, but they are so intriguing,. These glass negatives were displayed over an old window in the village, allowing the light to shine through all the dust and scratches and bringing them back to life.If only I could get my hands on some of these for myself :)

Fuji Fp100c negatives that have been bleached, some more successfully than others. Negatives scanned using iPad and iPhone as I don't have a flatbed scanner for this size negative. Hello Photo app used for scans, snapseed and photoshop express apps used for cropping and flipping of negs.

I had fun with this composition but i'm not crazy about how the exposure turned out
This is a quartz crystal from brandberg that has many negative crystal inclusions. Some are double terminated and one even has an enhydro bubble inside the negative crystal void.
