My dog neck pillow I bought myself for Christmas a few years ago. It reminded me of Dottie. I got my son a leopard one and my daughter a giraffe.
Not a big haul this week. We only spent $7.55 on purchases. The sales on Craigslist were sparse this week. There were only 5 stops. There were a couple of bonus sales that were not listed on Craigslist. I guess last weekend's storm, combined with the mid-week holiday deterred people from having yardsales. It was also pretty hot. It started out OK, but by 9am, it was getting pretty hot. Today, when we were out driving, we noticed a sign that we completely missed because our route didn't take us that way. They should have listed their yardsale on Craigslist, apparently.

Carolyn saw the shower cap marked for $1. She thought about when she henna's her hair, she uses a disposable shower cap to cover the henna while it sets for 4 hours. She had just thrown away her old ones that were in really bad shape and got replacement ones from the hotel when she went to Dallas last month. She thought a permanent showercap would be good to use while she hennas. But it wasn't worth $1 to her, so she offered $0.50. The lady accepted, and then asked if the marked prices seemed too expensive. We told her that as the day goes on, the prices should drop just to get rid of the stuff. Carolyn has already used the showercap because she had already planned to henna this weekend, and it works great!

I wanted something else than the typical U-shaped pillow, and I found the perfect project on Sew4home, relaxing neck pillows.
For each pillow, I took three different fabrics - two fabrics are the same, and one is different. Now we can distinguish between my mom's and my pillow. They are really easy and quickly made. I think it took me only one hour to sew both pillows and fill them.
