Fraser Navigator - A recent name change has seen Catherwood Towing's Miller Richmond become the Fraser Navigator. She is not seen here on the Fraser River very often, and only has been doing the City Transfer barge run as a relief vessel. Previously used as a construction tug for the JJM Construction Group.

Bridge and senior officers of the USS Navigator NCC-1105.

The helmsman (seated, blue skin) is supposed to be an Andorian, but unfortunately they don't make hair-and-antennae elements in the right colours. The communications officer is a Xindi-Primate, the ship's doctor (standing, front left) is a vulcanoid Rigelian (not to be confused with the saurian Rigellians), while the chief engineer (other side) is as close as I can come to a Tellarite in LEGO elements.

Available since 1997 the Lincoln Navigator is the luxury version of the Ford Explorer. None of both cars were officially imported by Ford in Europe. Yet there are some on the road here.

Seven Seas Navigator is a luxury cruise ship operated by Regent Seven Seas Cruises. She entered service for Radisson Seven Seas Cruises in 1999. Ninety percent of her cabins have their own private verandas. She has no sister ships. The hull was constructed by former USSR as a satellite tracking ship. The hull was purchased by RSSC and the superstructure was finished by Mariotti Yards, Italy.

“Nightfall Navigator”

I loaded up Lightroom intending to find one of my cracked mud Milky Way images to share… and well, I got a little distracted. It opened to the fireworks photo I used for Canada Day. The next thing I knew, I was deep into editing shots from my trip to Peggy’s Cove to photograph the Milky Way. They were the thing I did right afterwards, Shot last year on July 2nd.

I had originally hoped to capture the new viewing deck along with the Milky Way and lighthouse, but I quickly abandoned that idea. I was using my 24–120mm ƒ/4 lens, which normally isn’t an issue—except it’s the one that was on my camera when it took a swim a few years back. I removed the first two elements, but there's still some residue inside. Most of the time it doesn’t affect my shots… unless bright lights are shining in.

That’s exactly what happened here. With the long exposure needed for the scene, the lights made it look like an alien invasion—so I moved on.

Still, I decided the foreground image was worth saving, so I gave a composite a try. This is the result. The Milky Way was captured on the same night, just behind the lighthouse, and I placed it in a realistic position with the Dark Horse Nebula hovering above this iconic beacon.

INKTOBER day 29: NAVIGATOR

I am falling behind this year… and my last bit of energy.

Anyways, Buster Keaton in the 1924 blockbuster The Navigator.

I should probably build a bigger tank to allow for better shaping and more details on the navigator... not sure this guy works.
